This is for all 2026-2029 prospects. Click here to register, and use promo code “LSHOTPD25” to get $10 off your registration.

–

With a full summer under our belts, this has been one heck of a whirlwind for the athletes in Michigan.

Some of the best of the best in the class of 2027 were making some huge announcements. Meanwhile, we still had quite a few big moves from the stars of the 2026 class as well. Just in the first two months of open recruitment, over 15 of the top 25 ranked athletes in the class of 2027 have found their next home!

Commitments flying left and right, it was hard to keep up with who was going where. No need to worry though, because we have you covered. Let's take a look at another addition of Commitment Catch-Up.

[player_tooltip player_id='261175' first='Kendal' last='Quain'] to Hope College

5'11 S/OPP - Marysville

Hope College has been one of the biggest names in the Division 3 Volleyball scene over the last several years. With recent Final Four appearances, they're rounding out a historic class of athlete. From this recent commitment alongside others, things look to be business as usual for years to come.

We're going coast to coast here on the great lakes, from the shores of Lake Huron to the shores of Lake Michigan, Marysville native, [player_tooltip player_id='261175' first='Kendal' last='Quain'] recently declared her college destination in the land of the Dutch. Quain brings to this team a lot of versatility. While she is a setter first, Quain's game ranges much larger than just that. This past club season saw her run a traditional 6-2 with her setting in the back court and swinging at the net. Needless to say, Quain looks more than comfortable in either role. Either one is a potential one for her at Hope.

[player_tooltip player_id='237538' first='Annalise' last='Clark'] to Illinois Tech

5'5 DS/L - Lowell/FaR Out

There has been some incredible back court dandies coming out of Lowell for the last several years now. It looks like yet another one is college volleyball bound. This time, it is [player_tooltip player_id='237538' first='Annalise' last='Clark'] heading around the bend of Lake Michigan and to Chicago. This is a huge get for the NAIA program.

Over the last four years at Lowell, Clark has mustered up quite the career. As a DS transformed into one of the top liberos in the state, Clark will go down as one of the best to don the jersey for the Red Arrows. As she paces to potentially eclipse the illustrious 2,000 dig marker, Lowell is back at the forefront of the Division 1 conversation. Ranked 7th in the latest MIVCA polls, Clark could very much have the same effect at Illinois Tech that she has had on Lowell.

[player_tooltip player_id='226945' first='Jayla' last='Zayti'] to New Haven

6'0 MB - Marian/Legacy

New Haven has had quite the success with their recruits out of Michigan these last few years. The Chargers are looking to continue with that trend with this latest commit. Macy Brown was one of the first, and one of the biggest. The outside dynamo from Cadillac Michigan went on to have an incredible career for the Chargers, being named the NEC Player of the Year in 2023. From one winner to the next, look for [player_tooltip player_id='226945' first='Jayla' last='Zayti'] to make a big impact as well.

Zayti is very familiar to what it takes to be a part of a winning program. As a Marian Mustang, Zayti has been a part of some incredible wins over the years that include a Final Four run her junior year. At 6'0 and touching nearly 10 feet, Zayti brings a lot of dynamic play to the middle position for the Chargers.

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] to Indianapolis

6'0 OH - SMCC/Michigan Elite

This player could really become a steal in the 2026 recruit class for UIndy. In the ultra competitive, Great Lakes Valley Conference, UIndy is having one of their best seasons yet. Looks like they aren't looking to stop there though. Running on a 12-5 record so far, they recently nabbed a big commit out of SMCC's [player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'].

She may be quiet on and off the court, but when she gets into the rhythm of the game, Dettling can get very loud very fast. She's the kind of outside hitter that can frustrate the heck out of opponents. With a big jump and a whip of an arm, Dettling is able to cut up some really impressive angles at the net. She also has been a part of some big moments on the court that include a pair of Final Four runs that saw SMCC come out on top in 2024. With her experience and her growing physicality, Dettling could really create some noise out of the Circle City.

[player_tooltip player_id='454063' first='Miley' last='Southland'] to Cornerstone

5'11 S - Three Rivers/FaR Out

Look out for the Golden Eagles because they are soaring. Slowly but surely, Cornerstone has become one of the premier NAIA programs, not only in Michigan but, in the country. It looks to be that they're just building up that push for prominence with this commit.

[player_tooltip player_id='454063' first='Miley' last='Southland'] is a setter that I have been pretty high up on for quite some time. She comes from a strong volleyball family that has seen the likes of her older sister, Jenna Southland go on to Division 2 powerhouse, Hillsdale. Miley is a setter that plays the game at high level. She has a high IQ and can run a very tight knit offense. We've seen her have a lot of success at Three Rivers and FaR Out over the years. This is the kind of athlete that can arrive on campus and make an immediate impact.
