She played varsity this year as a freshman and used her size to make a splash. Heading into club season she looks like she will be a problem for opposing teams. Kirk's 6ft 4 frame is used very well when blocking at the net. Other teams must hit around her otherwise it's a block. Does a nice job adjusting to sets and putting down kills as well. She isn't afraid to put her body on the line for a dig, is always ready to move, and has good instincts and reaction time. She is a terrific passer as well on serve receive, she is ready, reads the ball well, and delivers a great pass. She seems to have good reaction and reflexes on defense, able to keep plays alive at the Setter position. She seems to have good hands and is able to play multiple positions. I seen her make some nice sets cross court and jumping back sets as well to her hitters. She keeps a good solid platform and uses her angles well on passing. She can make the chase down play as well to keep the point alive. Seems to be in the right place at the right time on hits and delivers accurate passes to her setters. Whether she is laying out for a ball, getting the pancake save, delivering a great pass off of a hard driven ball, she has got the tools. She does a great job reading hits and getting to the right position, but also can cover a lot of ground as well. Has quick feet and change of pace. She will have a great club season and lots of people will take notice. Shirk can do it all. She has a great confidence about herself and makes teammates better. She is a setter who can also really hit the ball as well. Put her anywhere on the court and she makes your team really good. Has a great touch with her sets, a great swing on the RS as she is a lefty as well. And she passes with really good touch. Player to watch and one who will make a bunch of noise.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These players will catch peoples eyes this club season. A lot of talent, grit, and skill from these girls. These tournaments will be filled with girls who are hard workers and will catch your eye. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
