Rad Rights at the Prep Dig Exposure Tour: San Antonio

<p>Right-side hitters play opposite the setter in the rotation, giving rise to the nickname <em>opposites</em>. Their role demands a unique combination of blocking strength, out-of-system reliability, and smart attacking from the right side of the net. Tasked with shutting down the opponent's top outside hitters, delivering strong swings when plays break down, and supporting the setter when needed, right-sides are often the stabilizers and quiet powerhouses of a lineup.</p>   <p>At the Prep Dig Exposure Tour in San Antonio, this talented group of right-side hitters showcased the versatility, decision-making, and offensive firepower that make the position indispensable. Each athlete brought her own style to the court, demonstrating the range and effectiveness opposites must have to impact a match.</p>   <p>Below is a look at the standout right-sides from the event and what makes them special.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='443046' first='Sydney' last='Suttles']</h2>   <p>Suttles is a 5'9" right-side hitter from Saint Mary's Hall, class of 2027. Suttles is a dynamic attacker with the ability to swing aggressively across the court. She plays with confidence, brings clean footwork to the right pin, and understands how to use the block to her advantage, making her hard to defend. Flores is quick, explosive, and a natural competitor at the net. She moves well in transition, gets her feet to the ball efficiently, and delivers high, controlled swings. Rote brings impressive height and range to the position. With long strides and a high contact point, she becomes a difficult hitter to stop and an effective blocker. Her ability to see the court and make smart swing decisions puts her in the upper tier of right-sides on the tour.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='722044' first='Aleena' last='Zuniga']</h2>   <p>Zuniga is a 5'8" right-side hitter from John Harlan High School, class of 2028. Zuniga is smooth, composed, and consistent. She excels at tool-based hitting, reading blockers well and finding ways to score—even in tight situations. Her block is fast and responsive, helping her team close gaps against strong outside attackers. Corona is a tall, strong presence on the right pin with the ability to generate power effortlessly. She moves efficiently along the net and uses her size to create an imposing block. Offensively, she swings with authority and stays aggressive throughout long rallies. Pease combines height, athleticism, and a heavy arm. Her swings come with force, and her contact point makes her exceptionally difficult to defend. Long plays with grit and versatility. She adjusts well to off-speed balls, scans the defense, and uses her athleticism to get into strong attacking positions. Her block is disciplined and consistently in the right place at the right time.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='904348' first='Khloe' last='Harrison']</h2>   <p>Harrison is a right-side hitter from New Braunfels High School, class of 2028. Harrison shows natural front-row instincts, stepping into any of those roles with confidence. Gibson is an emerging talent with a ton of developing skills. She swings with confidence and has a versatility that allows her to score from unique angles. She can read a block, and I can see the development happening for her during this event. This athlete will continue to grow and develop in the next couple of years, giving her the potential to be one of the best.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sofia Avila</h2>   <p>Avila is a 5'5" right-side hitter from United High School, class of 2029. Avila may be smaller for the position at this point in time, but she plays bigger than her height through speed, timing, and court intelligence. She uses quick arm action and smart shot selection to find the floor, proving that effectiveness on the right side comes from skill and strategy, not just size.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sydnee Coleman</h2>   <p>Coleman is a 6' right-side hitter from Byron P. Steele High School, class of 2029. Coleman is an imposing athlete with strong blocking fundamentals and a powerful swing. She transitions quickly, reads sets well, and brings a high ceiling of potential. Her blend of height and athleticism makes her a standout in the younger graduating class. She makes my all-tournament team for this tour. She almost knocked out the block during scrimmages, such a powerful hitter.</p>
