With every update comes new additions to the rankings, whether they're watch lists or official rankings. Here are five athletes from around the state that have been recently added to our rankings because they burst onto the scene since the beginning of high school season.

Big, physical and relentless, Miss Gilliard was, by the end of her first high school season, the go-to offensive weapon for the 4A top ten Trojans. She even sprinkled in a little serve receive training just so that she could put away a few more balls in the back row. Playing up a year on the 15 Open squad at Circle that finished 3rd last summer, she rejoins the same club team, this time at 16s, and will be a major factor for their success this coming spring.

At Roncalli, there are a never-ending number of defensive specialists on every roster every year. To set yourself apart from the others, let alone the other DS's from around the state in your class, is a feat unto itself. Callie is a work-a-holic that does well when allowed to take over serve receive. She's like a second coach on the floor, and has that knack to run things defensively—-something you might not see out of a SENIOR libero, let alone a freshman.

Part of the Cripe clan of volleyballers, Jada is the latest to show what compact explosiveness looks like. Don't let her size or sweetness fool you; once that first whistle blows, she's a relentless outside that will swing at EVERY ball if you let her. She may look lithe, but is powerful and strong in her upper body, while being constantly active with her feet to be in the right place at the right time every time. Yes, her size is a limiting factor. But for now, I see no limits when she's pitted against her own age group.

With high, deceptive hands, a strong knowledge of the game and a ton of open-level training underneath her, Elise is one of the better setters to come out of central Indiana in the class of ‘29. More often than not, she's got the right hitter in the right tempo with the right location of the ball for each individual hitter in her offense. And she does it all without fanfare or “look-at-me” attitude that a lot of setters can become. I'm looking forward to her development, as she won't be under-the-radar for much longer. She'll be a steal of a find for any college looking for a setter for the class of ‘29.

A more lengthy “big” than she appears due to her height, Cescily is a product of southern Indiana that brings vibes of a natural blocker and strong attacker to the 900 square feet. It seems like Silver Creek constantly and consistently produces long and lean attackers that can block, and Miss Linderman clearly continues that line of thinking. Already seeing varsity playing time and hitting close to .300 in her first season, she can safely play three rotations as any of the front row positions for any level of team. This is another one I'm looking forward to seeing on the club circuit this spring, as her development this club season should dictate how the rest of her career might go.
