<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Dig Exposure Tour featured a lot of talented defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the Class of 2029, there were a lot of hungry players looking to make a name for themselves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's the first of our 2-part look at this group of prospects.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='885612' first='Ava' last='Lanni'], Henry Ford II/Monsters</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lanni brought a lot of good energy to the court and gave it her all throughout each drill and rep. She didn't slow down as play went on, either. Lanni showed the same effort from start to finish, and that allowed her to make some difficult digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='778631' first='Breanna' last='McMahon'], South Lyon East/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McMahon had a lot of good intangibles that she displayed throughout the event. I liked her focus, her hustle, and her timing. She put all things together well for a lot of smooth serve receive and passing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='790367' first='Ella' last='Saylor'], Jenison/FaR Out</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saylor was one of the standouts for this position and this class. She showed good control in the back row while being able to communicate well with her peers and direct defensive traffic. Saylor showed advanced instincts and was rarely caught off guard by an attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='879552' first='Avery' last='Seward'], Mattawan/Dead Frog</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seward had good energy and active feet. She never let herself get caught flat-footed and was always making moves toward being in the right position. Her footwork also played a role in being able to get low to the ground and make challenging digs look somewhat effortless.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ella Brannen, Harper Creek/Midwest Select</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brannen has put some good highlights on film, as she displays consistently strong technique and form. She tracks the ball well and is able to accurately get the ball to the setter at a high rate.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='848236' first='Ayandrea' last='Bridges'], Gobles/Go! Dragons</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I liked the energy and determination that Bridges brought to the showcase. She had some errors that she was able to shake off quickly and bounce back with a better rep the next time. She took her coaching well and she never backed down from a challenge, which helped her make some impressive plays during scrimmages.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
