<p>The team opened the season going 2-3 in the 15/16s Division of the Lexington Open, finishing 15th out of 44 teams. Cumberland County sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='759669' first='Marleigh' last='Mollo'] at setter and [player_tooltip player_id='827099' first='Lily' last='Pruitt'] at middle blocker lead the team with Glasgow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='935757' first='Preslee' last='Martin'] also gaining a good bit of experience last year.</p>

<p>Glasgow eighth grader Bella Huckleberry saw seven games at defensive specialist. Russell County's Bella Parrish plays defensive specialist. Barren County's Raegan Wilson and Ellah Russell round out the roster along with Sianna Mabe.</p>

<p>Annika Reed is the team's head coach. The next event is Jan. 17 through 19 in the Battle on Broadway in Nashville.</p>

<p>Glasgow freshman Mari Clemmons played five games on varsity, but the other ones on this team are trying to sharpen their skills for when their time comes.</p>

<p>Monroe County freshman Kendall Wright plays outside/right side hitter and Barren County's Peyton Soards also plays on the outside. Barren County's Halle Spillman, Metcalfe County's Cariana Rowland, Bailee Matheson along with Callie Capps from Cumberland County round out the roster along with Keyleigh Sexton, Piper Hughes and Reese Howard.</p>

<p>Mollo (pictured) has been running the Cumberland County offense the past two seasons. Mollo puts a lot of sets on target and can take swings from the opposite side if necessary. Mollo is also a sound passer. Mollo had 525 assists in the fall for the Panthers.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Pruitt squares her arms up with passes so they carom straight to the setters. She can lean to her right to dig up hard roll shots. Pruitt will take nice swings when needed. Pruitt recorded 102 digs and 82 kills for the Panthers this past fall.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Martin can do both sound overhead and bump passes. She has good reaction time. Martin has shown she can defend at a number of angles on the court. Martin also makes quality out of system sets. Martin had 121 digs and 93 assists in the fall, helping Glasgow go 17-14 on the season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Huckleberry is showing tremendous potential for the Scotties. She squares her body up with balls then makes the simple passes. Huckleberry just needs some work on her control and she can turn into a sound contributor in the future for Glasgow.</p>
