Film Review: Highlighting Five 2029 Athletes Highlights

During her freshman season, she recorded 177 kills and 46 blocks in 90 sets played. I watched some of her tape from matches against Scott City and Hoisington. She is a left-hander with a big reach. She has a nice approach and adjusts to the ball well. She has a solid tip game and good blocking skills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='882831' first='Sophie' last='Doll']</strong>, 5'10”, MB, Garden City, ‘29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Doll is ranked No. 44 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029. She compiled 187 kills and 42 blocks in 85 sets for the Buffaloes. She can extend like a 20-foot ladder. She is a middle hitter with the quickness to get to the pin and hit from the outside as well. I watched highlights of her matches against Free State and Great Bend/ She has a physical frame and loves competing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='903569' first='Hayden' last='Lieber'],</strong> 6'0”, MB, Osage City, ‘29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Randall is ranked No. 45 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She led the Indians in blocks with 66 in 94 sets played for Osage City. She also tallied 159 kills. I watched film of her matches against Mission Valley and Wabaunsee. She recognizes where the holes in the defense are and makes adjustments to her swing in the air. She has great blocking technique and moves really well for a six-footer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='913299' first='Lilly' last='Bruna']</strong>, 5'6”, DS/S, Hanover, ‘29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bruna is ranked No. 58 overall. She collected 201 digs and 233 serve receptions for the state champion Wildcats. She played 90 sets as a freshman and has an accurate serve with a 96.6 serve percentage. I watched a portion of her club highlights with the Manhattan Mayhem. She is as quick as a mouse running from a tabby cat! She has a quiet platform, jumps well, and has a high IQ for the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='895669' first='Abby' last='Pendergraph']</strong>, 6'1”, MB, Blue Valley West, ‘29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pendergraph is ranked No. 74 overall. She played in 83 sets in a secondary role for the state champion Jaguars. She finished with 73 kills and 37 blocks. I watched some of the club highlights from the 2025 season.
