What a time to catch up with Pendergraph. We already had this athletic middle blocker on our radar during the club season, but last weekend’s Titan Volleyball Classic brought her physicality on the road with Blue Valley West. The defending Class 6A champs rolled to a tournament title with Pendergraph providing all-around fortitude in the frontcourt. She can dent the floor when attacking in front of the setter, but Pendergraph also churns out the soft touches that make the Jaguars lethal in transition. Underclassmen have a major foothold in the Blue Valley West program, making their dominance even more impressive.

The list of freshmen on varsity rosters is always small, but the list narrows further when we exclusively look at state championship teams. Still, Pendergraph managed to defy trends by excelling in the middle during last fall’s debut with Blue Valley West. She hit nearly 0.300 while carving out a regular starting role in the Jaguars’ physical frontcourt. Pendergraph’s rise continued with PVA 15 Elite during the club season, culminating in a trip to Indy for USAV Nationals. She has done plenty to prove her worth in the Class 6A crucible.
