Middles to Watch at the Tour of Texas – Stop 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first big tournament of the 2025-2026 club season is just around the corner, as this weekend, the top club teams from the Lone Star State will compete in the first stop of the popular Tour of Texas in the Austin area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest events in the club calendar in the state every year, the Tour of Texas will this year begin at the Round Rock Sports Complex, where nearly 500 teams will be in action across 11 different divisions from Saturday to Monday, providing the first big test for many of them as the season starts to pick up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top players from Texas will be in Round Rock this weekend, and we're using the days leading up to the event's start to feature some of them. A big and physical player, she has a strong presence at the net and the potential to heavily influence games on both sides of the ball. She's well-versed offensively, using her high contact point and firepower to score at a high rate and is capable of hitting different sets in the middle. She's very physical, but also extremely mobile and well-rounded, and can play on the right or even at the pin as well. DeMarr is a strong offensive player who uses her vision and high contact point to score at a high level while also keeping her errors very low. A disciplined blocker, she's always where she needs to be with her blocking, giving the defenders behind her a reliable reference to work with. Extremely tall and athletic, she's a handful for opponents, controlling the net and making a difference on both sides of the ball. Blocking is her calling card, as she can flat out shut opponents down at the net by getting very high up and aggressively getting her arms in the way of their swings - she's been used on the right more often recently because of that too. The USC commit is a hot name in the volleyball scene in the state, having massively raised her stock within the last year or so with her powerful two-way game at the net. Ngoh is extremely athletic and makes the most of her physical tools on both sides of the ball. She's an impressive offensive player, who has the energy and the firepower to swing for days and also makes a big impact with her blocking, moving very well at the net and getting up really high to get in the way of opposing hitters.
