[player_tooltip player_id='883036' first='Meg' last='Honeyman'], 5'10”, OH/MB, Nemaha Central, ‘28

Nemaha Central had eight sophomores see varsity action last season, and three of them recorded 100-plus kills. Honeyman is ranked No. 50 overall. She finished second in kills for the Thunder with 160 in 86 sets played. She is a net front presence, leading the team in blocks last season with 61.

[player_tooltip player_id='885599' first='Kinley' last='Weber'], 5'10”, MB, Silver Lake, ‘28

Silver Lake's Weber is ranked No. 51 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is one of five athletes to record at least 100 kills last season for the Class 3A State Champs. She played primarily on the front row last season for the Eagles and collected 40 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='885601' first='Evie' last='Banks'], 5'9”, MB/OH, Manhattan, ‘28

Banks is a multi-sport athlete ranked No. 52 overall. I saw her play last season and was impressed with her net front skills and physicality. She plays forward for the Indians' basketball team.

[player_tooltip player_id='883037' first='Macy' last='Holthaus'], 5'6”, OH, Nemaha Central, ‘28

Honeyman's Thunder teammate Holthaus is ranked No. 53 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She tallied 191 kills in 92 sets to lead Nemaha Central in that category. Holthaus chipped in 29 blocks during her sophomore season, as well as 348 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='814649' first='Kaelyn' last='Boss'], 5'8”, MB, Osage City, ‘28

Boss is ranked No. 54 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. Like Banks, she is another multi-sport athlete. My money says she plays college basketball, but I would not hesitate to recruit her for volleyball. She finished second on the team with 294 kills in 88 sets played. She is a ferocious defender on the basketball court.

[player_tooltip player_id='886414' first='Bella' last='Krogman'], 5'10”, OH, Marantha Christian, ‘28

Krogman registered 257 kills in 104 sets played for the Eagles last season. That total was third on a team with four hitters over 140 kills. She is ranked No. 92 overall. She can play six rotations as she tallied 559 serve receptions and 275 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='888509' first='Emmy' last='Reed'], 5'6”, S, Perry-Lecompton, ‘28

Reed is the first setter in this report and is ranked No. 105 overall in the updated rankings. She ran solo last season at setter for the KAWS, racking up 829 assists in 93 sets. She also posted 55 kills and 23 blocks, so she has some bounce to her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='891890' first='Kinsley' last='Michaelis'], 5'5”, S, Wabaunsee, ‘28

Wabaunsee's setter is ranked No. 108 overall. She finished with 377 assists and 216 digs in 87 sets played for the Chargers. She also plays basketball and softball.

[player_tooltip player_id='884831' first='Marie' last='McVay'], 5'5”, S, Wamego, ‘28

McVay has a solid season for the Red Raiders, dishing out 248 assists in 70 varsity sets. She is ranked No. 107 overall. Wamego played three athletes at the setter position last season, including two juniors, but McVay led the team in helpers as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='891891' first='Trinity' last='Fawl'], 5'5”, S, Santa Fe Trail, ‘28

Santa Fe Trail's Fawl is ranked No. 112 by Prep Dig Kansas. Much like McVay, she also shared setting duties with two upperclassmen, but led the Chargers in assists with 420 in 94 sets played. She has a nice serve that resulted in 40 aces last fall. She can also rake on a softball diamond. She hit .294 with three doubles, a triple, and one home run last season for Santa Fe Trail.
