2025 was a good year of volleyball throughout the state, but the Upper Peninsula produced a lot of standout underclassmen this past fall.

Here's a look at 10 that set themselves apart this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='765308' first='Evie' last='Anderson'], So. MH Crystal Falls Forest Park

Anderson was one of three underclassmen from CFFP that played a key role in getting her team to the state semifinals. She had over 135 kills and 272 digs, providing key depth on offense and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='765310' first='Harper' last='Anderson'], So. OH Crystal Falls Forest Park

Anderson was a nice asset to complement a dominant outside in [player_tooltip player_id='916058' first='Ava' last='Fischer']. She had over 130 kills and 130 digs this fall, while also being a major force from the service line with over 90 aces.

[player_tooltip player_id='765544' first='Josie' last='Anderson'], Fr. MH Crystal Falls Forest Park

The freshman proved she can handle some pressure situations, as she came through with over 190 kills on the season while also leading the team in blocks. Anderson is a player this team can rely on in future years.

Destiny Bleau, So. MH Big Bay de Noc

Listed at 5'8” Bleau played bigger than that at the net with her athleticism and timing. She could play well above the net and deliver big attacks thanks to her footwork. She also had some good serving runs during the season to help her team in all areas.

[player_tooltip player_id='810233' first='Addie' last='Bowerman'], So. MH Munising

Bowerman has good length and that allows her to play anywhere along the net. She's able to high-point the ball well and produce consistent velocity on her attacks. Bowerman was able to take on a big workload and that helped her earn All-State honors in D4.

Kendyl Flodin, So. DS/L Manistique

Flodin was an active defender that stayed light on her feet and always had a good first step toward the ball. She was able to stay low to the ground and square up on attacks and serves to make a clean pass to her setter.

Kaitlyn Halberg, So. OH/DS St. Ignace

Halberg was a well-rounded player that could do everything St. Ignace asked of her. She was a defensive standout with great form, but also put up a strong number of kills with a consistent swing. With St. Ignace graduating a lot of talent, Halberg is in for a big role next fall.

Mckynzee Kreider, Fr. S Kingsford

The Flivers had a potent offense this season, run in part by the freshman, Kreider. When not setting, Kreider was a right side that could get on a hot streak pretty quickly. She's got the skills to excel in every phase of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='765249' first='Alivia' last='Nash'], So. DS/L Kingsford

A good offense can use a good defense to keep itself rolling. Nash provided that excellent defense with her consistent play this fall. She put up massive dig numbers this season as her effort and tracking of the ball were hard to match.

[player_tooltip player_id='815515' first='Kylie' last='Stuer'], So. MH Superior Central

Stuer shows a lot of promise in the UP. She plays with a lot of good instincts and her swing is really smooth. Stuer can play the middle or the outside, but she's got the athleticism and arm speed to dominate at either location. She was an All-State selection in D4 this fall.
