When out of system, she is not afraid to take risks in where the ball goes as she does a good job of getting her hands on the ball more frequently without relying too much on her platform to do the work. She will anchor the ball control for NKYVC's top 17U team this season as she makes the move from a rival club in the Cincy area. This squad recently finished 3rd overall in the Early Bird Shootout 17/18 division to start the club season. She reads the court well and develops good balance in her preparation to be able to react efficiently with her platform and with good pursuit of the ball in her footwork and movement that can create good range. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502963' first='Ellyn' last='Lough']</strong> - MH | [program_tooltip program_id='431555' first='Mintonette' last=''] m.72<br>Lough competes for [program_tooltip program_id='431555' first='Mintonette' last='']'s second 17U team this season, but certainly has tools to compete for top teams at other clubs. She will help elevate this team as they will feature collective tools to compete in the open-level and win a lot of matches in the coming months, even against top 17U squads. She is a dynamic, skilled and athletic middle around her setter as she gets up quickly and on top of the ball with pace and control to terminate with authority. Through her 2.6 k/s average, she also was the team leader in efficiency at .384. She was also was an impact factor defensively as she led the Eagles with 66 total blocks. She gets off the net well to be able to transition attack with her step-close footwork to contact the ball. Her length, at 6'3, is her biggest attribute and advantage as she can create a high touch point. When she keeps good space and timing off the net around her setter, she can swing with good impact. Opening her shoulders more deliberately will help her develop more power and pace at the point of contact. She pairs with her high school middle teammate to bring their tandem of skills and experience to their club team, competing in the Nike Classic's 17 Club division.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
