2026 Legacy Club Profile: 16-1 ADIDAS

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In 2026, Legacy 16-1 ADIDAS isn't going to be backing down from expectations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This group of 2028 talents is accustomed to succeeding at a high level and they expect to do more of the same this club season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Things already got started on a pretty high note, finishing runner-up at the Nike Classic last month in the 16 Open. She's got championship poise and control that she's displayed in two state title runs for Country Day. Her pinpoint location is what helps her hitters be able to unleash on the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Middle Dominance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Woodruff is really gelling with her middle hitters and it's easy to see why. They've got a tremendous amount of talent as well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='569766' first='McKenzie' last='Andrews']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith']</strong> are all very explosive and bring different skills to the position. Andrews has elite length at 6'5”, while Sheldon has great explosiveness, and Smith can produce a lot of power and impact. It's tough for anyone to deal with this trio.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Outside Consistency</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This squad also has some talented outside hitters that are capable of making an impact in all phases of the game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='569767' first='Quinn' last='Nelson'] </strong>is coming off a breakout fall season with Marian and is playing with a lot of confidence right now. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='584598' first='Allison' last='Stakoe']</strong> can deliver one of the most potent attacks in the class. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='817491' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] </strong>is a new addition to the roster, but her 6'1” size gives this team some added length to deal with on the pin.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Defensive Depth</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>You won't find many teams with a stronger crew of defensive talent than Legacy as well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='587009' first='Kaitlyn' last='Koceski']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='511364' first='Taylor' last='Wilson']</strong> make up this group. Pelon has been up against the best hitters in the state with Marian, while Koceski is a 2028 prospect that is showing she can be among the elite in the country. Wilson is a quick and athletic defender from Ohio that rounds out this roster well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Expectations</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Weather kept Legacy from competing in the Central Zone Invite, which means the next opportunity to showcase its talent will be the highly-competitive Triple Crown in a week. There isn't an event where 16-1 ADIDAS shouldn't feel like it can win. It has all the pieces to be special and no weakness you can identify.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
