She joins <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='512892' first='Brynn' last='Wilcox'] </strong>has the two setting options. Wilcox is coming off an outstanding fall season where she made big strides in her play and leadership.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Big Middle Presence</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Legacy has a lot of size and quickness in the middle with this group. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='898111' first='Aliyah' last='Potapenko'] </strong>(6'3”), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442973' first='Brooklyn' last='Rummler'] </strong>(6'2”), and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523848' first='Nicole' last='McDowell'] </strong>(6'1”) are also big power hitters that can make all the shots you want from a middle. Their collective footwork, aggression, and awareness is going to make the position a real strength an make the setters' jobs easier.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Complements On The Pins</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Legacy will be able to get a lot of good production on the outsides with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442985' first='Josie' last='Seets']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='807779' first='Isabelle' last='Lawhorn']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='455952' first='Sofie' last='Williams']</strong>, and right side <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523847' first='Rory' last='O'Connell']</strong>. The trio of outsides have all made nice strides in their game and are seeing improved finishing rates while still be able to add to their defense. O'Connell is a right side that can take over a match and is going to be the final piece that really puts this offense together.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Defensive Depth</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Serve receive and passing will be an area Legacy should be able to compete with most teams. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442969' first='Avery' last='Stepp'] </strong>(Palm Beach Atlantic) has a lot of natural ability at the position and makes a lot of high-IQ plays. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454376' first='Blair' last='Russow'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='808796' first='Kaitlyn' last='Gustafson'] </strong>provide added depth at the position and are capable of stepping up in pressure situations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Expectations</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Legacy took some lumps at Triple Crown last week, but ultimately that experience should pay off in the long run. Not many 2's can be in the mix at a tournament of that level and Legacy came through with some nice wins and were really competitive in the majority of their sets. This team isn't going to make it easy for anyone they face. They have the talent to make a big splash and you should see their players make big strides throughout the club season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
