Wood hopes to bring more valuable play to the Scotties these next two seasons. She makes solid, consistent passes then can quickly adjust to take big rips. She even makes things happen out of system and is an aggressive server.

Hurt (pictured) hopes to make her mark for the Trojans this fall with her versatility. The lefty Hurt delivers at unique angles for Barren County using her size. She uses her hands well and even sets when the setter is in the back row.

Cook has a bright future ahead of her. Cook has good hands and uses them to execute a variety of short and long sets. Cook can even do jump sets. Defensively, Cook provides sound net defense, often being there when opponents try to put down overpasses. Cook also takes hard swings from the front and back rows and adds in aggressive serves.

Hoffman does an outstanding job reading defenses and putting balls on target so her hitters can put balls down. She tries to involve a number of hitters. Hoffman is also a strong passer and aggressive server. Hoffman had 858 assists, 100 kills, 255 digs and 96 aces to help Warren East go 26-11, win a 15th District crown and drive to the in-season Class 2A state championship game and 4th Region semifinals.
