2027 Outsides to Know

The class of 2027 has some real dominate outside hitters, with all 10 of the girls here in this article ranked and committed to top level programs across the nation. All of these girls bring a unique approach to the game and all are top level contributors for not only their club teams but their school teams as well.   Below we will talk about these 10 outside hitters to know from the class of 2027! We hoped you enjoyed our analysis of all the positions form the class of 2027 as we head into the deep dive of 2028 next. If you haven't had a chance to see these 10 girls play this season, you really should get out and watch as we head into the end of March and by the end of April.    Tessa is the top of the food chain when it comes to 2027 outside hitters. She is a dominate player who is ranked nationally on top of being the number 1 player in AZ for 2027. For starters, offensively she shows a fluid three-step approach and creates excellent separation on her jump, allowing for a high and consistent contact point. Tessa generates easy pace on the ball without over-swinging and has a natural feel for shot selection which can include going sharp cross, deep seam, or tooling the outside hand.   In serve receive, she is dependable and technically sound to a point where she could probably be a libero if needed. She maintains a quiet platform and reads servers well/early, allowing her to take a large portion of the court when needed. Her ability to pass accurately while still being an offensive threat makes her a true six-rotation option at the next level.   She has firmly established herself as the top outside hitters in Arizona's 2027 class, with a game that translates to the national level. Her ceiling projects as a high-impact Power 5 contributor who can take over matches on the pin.     Isabella can do it all on the offensive end. She can hit from all locations on the floor and with the pace needed to earn point and all of this while being able to score when she has to take out of system swings. Most notably she does all her movement with ease, and transition super well to get off the net and get the explosion needed on her approach.   Defensively, she stands out with her range and urgency. She reads hitters early, plays with disciplined positioning, and shows the ability to extend and keep rallies alive. Her coverage is a major strength and she is constantly moving, filling seams, and reacting quickly off the block. The energy she brings is noticeable every point, as she competes relentlessly and transitions quickly into offense.   Competing against some of the best talent in Arizona, she consistently separates herself with her all-around production and competitive edge each weekend she plays. It is an easy choice when we describe OH to watch and Northwestern is getting a good one here!     A physically imposing 2027 outside hitter with significant offensive upside. She utilizes her length and vertical to attack at a high point, creating natural advantages against blockers. Most blockers can't even take away any space as she routinely will go through blocks and tool them with her power. However she shows the ability to hit with power while also mixing in off-speed and high IQ shots.   Defensively, she covers significant ground and shows strong instincts in reading both hitters and developing plays. She excels in coverage situations, reacting quickly off blocks and staying engaged around the play. Her motor runs consistently high, and she brings a competitive edge that shows up in her willingness to pursue every ball.   She continues to prove she belongs in the upper tier of Arizona's 2027 class, combining physical tools with a complete skill set. Her trajectory points toward becoming a difference-maker at the highest levels of Division I volleyball.     A polished and composed Division I–committed outside hitter in the 2027 class who thrives as a six-rotation contributor. She plays with a calm, controlled tempo but can elevate and terminate when needed. Her offensive efficiency and decision-making stand out, especially in longer rallies. She shows a high court IQ and is able to take what the defense is giving her by using off speed but also hitting those deep corners/cut shots when she needs to. Good luck if the block is late as her arm swing is set to terminate when that happens and no libero can dig her.   In serve receive, she is confident and composed, consistently taking a large percentage of the court while maintaining a clean platform and delivering hittable balls. She tracks the ball well out of the server's hand and adjusts seamlessly, giving her team stability in first contact. She also does the same on the defensive end, being able to read hitters early and get to the correct defensive spot to dig other teams best players.   Against top Arizona competition, she shows the consistency and composure that college coaches prioritize. She has the potential to develop into a primary offensive option at a Power 5 program and is someone that you need to get out and see this club season!     A high-level 2027 outside hitter, she is known for her dynamic offensive presence and competitive edge. She attacks with intent, showing a quick arm and the ability to score across the full width of the court. Particularly effective in transition, where she finds ways to terminate even in broken plays. She is able to put a lot of pace on balls both when her team is out of system and also from the back row. She can score with any type of set and from any location on the floor. She really is a threat every time she touches the ball.   Her all-around game separates her, as she contributes consistently in serve receive and defense. She seems to move so effortlessly in both of those situations, easily getting her feet to the ball to continuously get great touches on the ball to keep her team in system. Lastly she plays with confidence and embraces high-volume swings, a trait that translates well to the college game.   Her performance within a deep Arizona talent pool highlights her ability to stand out in a competitive recruiting landscape. She projects as a high-level Division I outside with legitimate national upside if you haven't got to know her game.. you should!     A U of A commit, she is one of the best 2027 outside hitter when it comes to the physical tools and ability to contribute early at the next level. She combines a fast, explosive approach with a high contact point, allowing her to consistently score against well-formed blocks. I don't think she has seen a block that would intimidate her and her ability to generate pace while maintaining control makes her a reliable terminal option in both system and out-of-system situations.   She is a true six-rotation player, showing confidence and stability in serve receive while taking on a heavy passing load. She shows great technique both with her defense and serve receive making it easy for her to play 6 rotations. Defensively, she covers ground well as she is quick twitch athletes who moves extremely well and can transitions quickly into offense in these rallies.   She has emerged as one of the more complete outside hitters in Arizona, impacting the game well beyond just scoring. That versatility and motor give her the potential to thrive as a six-rotation player at the highest collegiate level.     A composed and technically sound 2027 outside hitter who brings a steady presence to the court. She doesn't force plays, instead relying on smart decision-making and controlled aggression to score. Her ability to stay efficient, even in longer rallies, makes her a valuable offensive piece regardless of the score/set. She plays with a impressive IQ and is able to use her ability to read the court to hit those open spots any time she is getting set.   Another tool she has that makes her great is that she excels in serve receive with a calm platform and strong awareness with her movement. She is giving her team consistency in first contact when she is in serve receive and keeping everyone in system to score points even when she isn't front row. Defensively, she is disciplined and reliable, rarely out of position and able to get a lot of digs based on just her effort alone.   In a class that includes multiple high-level prospects across Arizona, she continues to elevate her game and separate herself. She projects as a future cornerstone outside hitter in a major Division I program.     Sienna is a dynamic and competitive 2027 outside hitter who thrives in fast-paced systems. She plays with great tempo and is comfortable attacking a variety of sets, showing versatility along the pin. Her ability to see the court and make in-air adjustments allows her to score efficiently without relying solely on power. However she does bring a lot of power to the table and can terminate a ton of balls or tool a ton of blocks based on her powerful arm swing.   In the back row, she brings stability and range, showing the ability to defend and immediately transition into offense. Her motor and consistency stand out, making her a reliable option in all rotations. She is someone that coaches can count on to get the job done and rarely has an off day or bed set. The definition of consistency and not wanting to come off the court.   Her ability to produce against strong in-state competition speaks to her readiness for the next level. She has the tools and mentality to develop into a go-to outside at a top Division I school and is for sure someone to get out and see this season.     Alyssa is the definition of a well-rounded outside hitter as she consistently impacts the match as a true six-rotation player in so many ways. She brings a balanced offensive approach, showing the ability to generate pace while also mixing in smart shots to keep defenders off balance. Her approach is efficient and repeatable, leading to a high contact point and the ability to score in both system and out-of-system situations.   On defense, she plays with high-level effort and awareness, consistently putting herself in positions to make plays. Her coverage instincts are advanced which lead to a lot of long rallies. Most importantly she anticipates deflections, stays active around hitters, and keeps points alive with second-effort plays which bring a ton of extra opportunities for points for her teams. Her energy is constant and contagious, fueling her team through long rallies and she demonstrates a ton of leadership qualities with her play.   She brings a combination of physicality, skill, and competitiveness that aligns with high-major recruiting standards. As she continues to develop, her impact projects well beyond the regional level and into the national conversation as we head into her senior season.     Although she is working her way back from injury, Rylan is still on our radar as one of the best 2027 outsides in AZ. First, she stands out for her athleticism and ability to score in multiple ways. She has a quick arm swing and explosive jump, allowing her to create separation and attack at a high point. Most importantly she shows confidence swinging in high-pressure moments and has the tools to terminate against solid blocks.   Rylan also has an all-around game that continues to trend upward, particularly in serve receive and defensive consistency. She competes with energy and plays with a noticeable edge, which translates well in transition. She is a threat to contribute with her offense, defense, blocking, and serving which makes her a true 6 rotational player for the teams she is on.   Although we haven't got to see her fully compete this season, we are excited for Rylan to come back and demonstrate why she is one of the best in Arizona. She has the tools and physical game to compete at a high level and will put on a show once she is back to 100%.    We can't wait to see what the rest of the 2026 club season will bring!
