Great Lakes Grit was another successful Prep Dig Tour stop in Michigan this past weekend.

The 16 Girls Division had a mixture of talented prospects of many age groups.

In this division, there were a handful of liberos that left their mark and showed they have what it takes to be difference-makers in the years to come.

Melani Gjorovski, Michigan Elite 14 Mizuno

Gjorovski was locked in all weekend, bringing a lot of poise and focus in the back row for Michigan Elite. She held her own against the top hitters and showed good technique and anticipation for where she needed to be on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='919364' first='Jayda' last='Guyton'], Michigan Elite 16 NS West

Guyton did a good job of going with the flow of play and adjusting her position to be able to square up to attacks. She made some tough digs and did a good job of keeping some rallies longer than you'd expect by makings a difficult sprawl.

[player_tooltip player_id='940385' first='Vivian' last='Hurley'], NIVA 15 Purple

Hurley did her part to help lead NIVA to the 16 Girls title at Great Lakes Grit. She was consistent and did a great job of keeping this explosive team in-system. Hurley also was a big difference maker at the service line to keep NIVA in control of the match.

[player_tooltip player_id='952786' first='Megan' last='Nissen'], Ballistix 15-25

Nissen was a great leader on the floor for Ballistix and definitely left it all on the court. She was covering a lot of space and doing what she could to keep her team in rallies. Her effort led to some great plays and her team had to feed off that. Nissen also had a challenging serve that led to some nice runs.

Grace Ullrich, Michigan Elite 16 NS East

This 2030 prospect was put in a tough spot of taking on a lot of more experience talent this weekend, but her work ethic and hustle showed she belonged. Ullrich was all over the floor and not letting any ball get to the floor without her doing all she could to get to it.
