Prep Dig Texas was at [program_tooltip program_id='538544' first='Katy' last='United'] on Sunday morning, following the matches in Pools 1, 2 and 3 in the 18s Division. It's now time to feature the players who stood out during the day, and today we look into the outside hitters:

Brown was part of the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 17 Black team that dominated the division with four wins. Formerly a middle, she demonstrated a solid all-around game and made an impact at the pin. Brown was very good at the net, using her length and offensive range to score at a very high rate at the pin, while also having a solid blocking presence. The outside hitter also moved well for the ball in serve-receive and was very accurate with her deliveries, helping keep her team in system.

Dinsdale played for the Texas United 18 Red side that ended up in third place with a win and three losses. She was a key piece in their passing system, stepping up to cover a sizeable area of the court and showing confidence to handle the serves that went her way. An undersized pin hitter, she thrived offensively when hitting a quick set at the pin, which gave her an edge against scrambling opposing blockers. Dinsdale showed good vision to score by tooling the block or tipping the ball over it as well.

Ifems and her [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 17 White team ranked fourth after getting two wins and two losses. She was pure power for them at the pin, scoring points at a high volume and also coming up big for the team in key moments of sets. Ifems got off the floor very well, made contact with the ball at a very high power and displayed great power in her right arm to put the ball down. The pin hitter showed good variation, too, and was very consistent, keeping her errors low. Ifems wasn't very exposed on serve-receive, but handled the serves that went her way efficiently.

Schwieder featured for the Texas One - 17 Royal side that finished eighth with two wins and two losses. She was a stabilizing force for them with her highly technical and low-error game. Schwieder led the team's passing efforts with great efficiency, helping their offense remain in system, and also got many touches on the back row when playing defense. She also did well at the net, demonstrating great vision to find open spots on the court and score points with well-placed shots.
