Next Wave Rising: 2026 Sunshine Classic 15U

Every season the Sunshine Classic Tournament becomes a proving ground where young athletes begin shaping their identities as complete volleyball players. In the 15U division, the energy was impossible to ignore. Defensive specialists were covering massive sections of the court, setters were orchestrating offensive rhythm, and attackers were learning how to balance power with precision. What stood out most throughout the tournament was the maturity in how these athletes approached their responsibilities. Instead of simply reacting to the moment, they demonstrated anticipation, communication, and a willingness to do the extra work between contacts. From relentless back-row defenders to versatile athletes controlling multiple rotations, this group showed why the 15U division continues to be one of the most exciting levels to watch develop. Her transition speed was one of her greatest strengths, as she quickly moved off the net and presented herself as an attacking option.   Once in position, Taubken attacked the ball at full extension, unleashing a powerful arm swing. When operating as a setter, Moore showed excellent awareness of her attackers, distributing balls into clean, attackable windows that allowed hitters to swing with confidence. As a pin, she attacked with creativity and athletic timing, working through tools, seams, and high hands. As a six-rotation athlete, she never seemed rattled by pressure situations and consistently remained ready for the next play.   Her defensive positioning allowed her to cover ground quickly while staying low and balanced. When transitioning to offense, Mcloughlin's four-step approach generated smooth momentum into her attack, giving her the elevation and timing needed to challenge opposing blocks. ~Sophia Jeanpierrre @prepdig_fl     Ellie Clymer demonstrated confidence in every phase of her back-row responsibilities. One of her standout qualities was her comfort using her hands in serve receive, stepping into passes with calm intent rather than hesitation.   At the service line, Clymer also delivered consistent results by executing her coach's targets.
