Oklahoma on the Road: Travel Series Part 1

Some of the best Oklahoma athletes have spent the early part of their club season on the road. They have completed at National Qualifiers and traveled to several different states to see how they match up with some of the strongest competitors in the nation. During March, I will be highlighting players who have competed and used their skill, intelligence, and determination to stand out on the big stage! She is constantly in motion, anticipating plays, which makes her a dependable defender and an asset on transitions. At The Triple Crown Qualifier, she connected seamlessly with all her hitters, delivering assists that highlighted her vision and consistency.       [player_tooltip player_id='752767' first='Tessa' last='Bond'] is a towering presence at the net, using her height and explosive jump to dominate the pin. She frequently swings over the top of blockers' hands, converting opportunities into kills with precision. Highly intuitive, she adjusts to every pass, giving her setter prime hitting options. Her chemistry with [player_tooltip player_id='808272' first='Karen' last='Bonilla'] is particularly lethal, as their quick-tempo shoots left defenses scrambling and out of rhythm.     [player_tooltip player_id='755551' first='Addison' last='Levescy'] showed versatility at the Northern Lights Qualifier, splitting duties between libero and defensive specialist. After a slow start for her team, she honed her serve receive and tightened her target, quickly shifting momentum in her team's favor. Each successful pass built confidence, and her contributions in the early game paved the way for a crucial set win.     [player_tooltip player_id='752792' first='Adelade' last='Ball'] is a setter who prioritizes defense, hustling tirelessly to keep every ball alive. Her coverage on the court is exceptional, and a diving save at the Northern Lights Qualifier underscored her athleticism and court awareness. She demonstrates high volleyball IQ, keeping her eyes on the players rather than the ball, and her accurate targeting of the outside hitter led directly to three aces from the service line. She can dominate at the net with solo blocks and multiple block kills, and she finds ways to score off the hands of blockers or down the line. Her final kill at the Northern Lights Qualifier sealed a 25-23 set victory in pool play, showcasing her clutch ability. On the service line, she puts opponents on their heels, forcing free balls that create easy offensive opportunities for her team. Ana's all-around skill and court intelligence make her a game-changer for every set.
