We've just about wrapped up our “class of ‘28” week and move on to this year's freshmen—-the class of 2029. Some mild movement happened up and down the rankings, along with quite a few additions. Here's what you can expect from us this week at PrepDig Indiana:

In the articles this week, we'll cover New Additions, Stock Risers and include a few different positional breakdowns to chart the overall play of more than 25 different players from up and down the rankings. Each player mentioned will have a short paragraph of that athlete's progress thus far this club season.

How do I get seen?

This is, far and away, the most common question I've received in the last quarter from this recruiting class. There are a couple of ways we can see you play. First, knowing your club schedule is paramount, as that helps us identify you live. Second, if we can't make it to your court or tournament because of previous PD obligations, sending video footage to us is also very helpful. Be mindful that anything over five minutes in length might not make it to our eyeballs, as we get hundreds of videos per month sent to us. Finally, a direct email about your progress gets our attention as well. We've got nearly 900 athletes we are responsible for in the three graduating classes currently in rotation, so it's nearly impossible to keep track of each and every kid without knowing what's going on in their volleyball lives.

Being nice and being patient REALLY help your cause.

I cannot stress this enough—-you will get our attention more with a kind word, a quick update and patience in our response to you. Even a quick introduction to me if and when you see me at a tournament goes very far in my evaluation. Too often, adults (NOT the kids) take the nasty, name-calling and unprofessional route to contacting me. Not only will I not respond, but I'll take notes on whom it came from. Remember, this is not about the adults, this is about each and every kid getting a chance at recruitment and continuing to play the game we all love at the next level. Be kind.

This week, articles covering new additions, stock risers, outsides, right sides, middles and setters will flood my X feed (@KypPDIN). Subscribers (Use code Kyp30 for 30% off!) can enjoy reading about all of these kids from around the state and their progress this club season. The next update might not happen until the summer, so this mid-club-season update has perfect timing before both national events happen in late June and early July. We'll also be out and about covering various tournaments around the state, including the MEQ in Indianapolis this coming weekend.
