The state’s top player at libero, Miller’s game is aging like fine wine. Each year she’s been able to increase tempo of play and improve her overall game. The reputation has proceeded the Dayton pledge since she began stoning opposing attacks as a freshman. Part of what impresses you most about Miller is her ability to stay locked in and make plays even though opponents avoid her. She welcomes big swings from them and a big grin crosses her face when they challenge her. That’s usually because Miller is digging up the ball and getting the transition underway.

Miller made a name for herself in Iowa volleyball circles years ago. The Dayton commitment has worked hard to not rest on her laurels and continue to improve. It’s led to her Liberty and Rockets teams winning a lot of matches. For the Lightning, she’s piled up 1,633 digs in her three seasons, the last two of which opponents went well out of their way in avoiding her. Her 337 assists speak to a skill in setting up the pin off of the two ball. Miller finds success with quickness laterally and with her reflexes. And she’s smart. Miller rarely is out of position, flows well with the action and reads the attack very well. She picks up information throughout matches and uses it to her advantage. Miller is a clear leader on the court and makes players around her better. She’s competitive and plays with a high motor. Miller was all of those things at the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier Easter weekend in Chicago. She’ll be even better for Liberty in the fall, and it will be fun watching her compete with the Flyers after that.
