Commonwealth Cup Day One 15, 16s Solid Performers

The [program_tooltip program_id='432110' first='Clarksville' last='Volleyball Club'] 16 Liz and 16 Charley teams made the gold round along with C-Force 16U Black. The fourth gold qualifier is Rhythm 16 Regional. The semifinal games are 8 and 9 a.m. Central Standard Time with the championship game taking place at 11 a.m.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Eight of the 15 teams in the 15U Division made it to the gold round as the result of finishing first or second in pool play. The C-Force 15U Black team along with the Elie Athletic Academy 15 Blue out of Paducah along with the Next Generation 15U Gold teams finished undefeated in pool play with the Clarksville VBC 15 Charlsie tea earning the tie-breaking win in the other one. Dressler takes quality swings from the pins and middle. She mixes her hard and off shots well. Dressler does not hesitate to use her off (left) hand to surprise opponents. Dressler even angles balls off blocks for big hits. Her blocking is also something to watch. She tries to involve as many teammates as possible trying to create hitting lanes for the hitters. Fleenor adds in a nice jump set with her quick hands. She consistently puts balls in her hitters' power zones. She attacks seams well and has impressive line shots. Brewer even hits hard from the back row and mixes in nice off shots. Brewer hustles on defense, showing the ability to execute both the bump and overhead passes. Her size and athleticism more than make both possible. Hite can win jousts at the net and her blocking and passing defense have improved. Her teammates also say she has a great attitude on and off the court.
