The club volleyball season continues to progress at full pace, and Prep Dig Texas continued to follow the Lone Star State prospects as they competed in tournaments around the state last weekend.

Our destination on Saturday was the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] Club, which hosted the Skyline Classic #12 tournament, an event that reunited 57 teams from the region in the 15s and 16s age group for a full day of matches.

Our coverage was centered on the 15 Girls Division, and we're now taking the week to highlight the players who stood out in each position. It's time we talk about the middles who made an impact:

Pogoreltseva played for the T4 15 Elite team that dominated the division with an undefeated campaign of three victories and no sets dropped. She set her teammates on fire with each of her celebrations and played with tremendous intensity at the net. Pogoreltseva was very reliable offensively, getting off the floor well and doing a good job of avoiding opposing blockers by angling her shots into the corners. She also made a defensive impact with her blocking, playing aggressively above the net and pressing opponents with her long arms.

West was with the Katy Stars 15 Elite team that ranked sixth with a win and two losses. She was possibly the tallest player in the division and made the most of her length to make a big impact at the net. West's offense was outstanding, as she demonstrated the ability to hit in all three positions at the net and was very impressive with her high contact point and heavy right arm. The middle also offered significant contributions with her blocking, playing aggressively above the net and getting many stops.

Sacher was one of the middles of the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 15 Gray team that finished seventh with one victory and two upsets. She was one of the best scoring middles of the division, using her athleticism and firepower to consistently put the ball down. Sacher made contact with the ball at a high point, was able to put a lot of power into her swings and diversified well, swinging into different directions. She got some good touches with her block and went on long runs from the service line, keeping opponents under pressure.

Philpot and her TW Skyline 15 White ended up in eighth place after dropping all three of their matches in the event. She was one of the team's main scoring options, showing great versatility in her offense as she hit different sets in the middle. Philpot was very difficult to stop because she made sure to look at the opposing blocker before making contact with the ball, so she could hit around them. She also stood out for her footwork, which allowed her to move quickly from pin to pin when blocking.
