When I attend any event I am looking for good plays, consistent performances, or it could even be something that could provide a spark for their team with energy or effort. Here are some performances, stories and names to know!

18s Soaking In Final Tournaments

We always get to April and think about how fast the year has gone. That is particularly true for the 18s. I was able to interview [player_tooltip player_id='277437' first='Olivia' last='Witon'] of [program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 18-1 and [player_tooltip player_id='809419' first='Morgan' last='Bentel'] of Madtown 181 National. For Witon, she's been playing with this same group since she was 10 years old. This group from Penguins has played in numerous Prep Dig events and have found success with I'm sure a closet full of Prep Dig t-shirts. [player_tooltip player_id='809419' first='Morgan' last='Bentel'] will close her club career out with Madtown where she was there from the start when the club originated in 2020. 18s Nationals will be in Reno the first weekend of May, but first they will look to close things out with a win in their home state. Interviews from Witon and Bentel will be posted on the Prep Dig Instagram this weekend.

Madtown Flexing

Madtown out of the Madison area was dominant this morning. Their 181 National team didn't drop a set while in the 17/18 Club Division, the Madtown 171 Select went 3-0 while 172 Select punched their ticket to the gold bracket and will hold down the four seed on Sunday. I was able to watch quite a bit of the 171 Select team this morning where there is plenty of balance. With two pins who can really score in Daniela Richter and Carly Check, it makes this offense tough to slow down. They play fearless with a high IQ where they know where to score points.
