The class of ‘28 will start to receive some commitments this summer. But what about the kids that haven't seen a lot of publicity that should be getting more attention? Today's article touches on the kids that have made major impacts on their respective squads around the state, but haven't received the recruiting attention that they otherwise should. Here are five kids that fit that mold.

Springy, quick and terminal, Finley is the daughter of a former Big Ten player and is quietly having one of the best seasons a middle could have in open-level ball, especially in this class. Able to attack from in front of or behind the setter, she uses her extra-long arms to attack high, defend well and play (read: BEAT) some of the best competition in 16 Open around the country. Already in possession of a bronze medal from last season's 15 Open at GJNCs, she's already qualified for GJNCs here in Indy and should show out against the best of the best in June.

One of the physically strongest middles in this (or any) class, Rachel is part of a pair of middle-hitting sisters that earned state titles the past two seasons, and should compete for another up a class in 2A next fall. More of an M2 at this time, Rachel's ability to take up space on the block, put balls away in any situation at any time and hit angles that other kids just can't, The younger Bonde sister is more than ready for attention from larger schools for fall of ‘28 entrance.

Quick on transition and with a high attack point, Danica was a Metro kid (Evansville) before moving over to KiVA this spring. She's currently on their 16 White squad, and is a fast and terminal M2 for this undersized squad. You might not have seen her play much because of the size of her high school and where she's located, but trust me, you're getting an athletic and fast middle that has length for days and is an injection of positive vibes for any roster she's a part of.

Raw and athletic, Annika is fast in transition, one of the highest leapers in this class, and is a two-sport stud (track is the other). Tucked away at Empowered, she doesn't travel as much as some of the other ladies on this list, but she's worth the time to watch her out-athlete her opponents. The potential oozes from her frame, having the ability to go up and over opposing blocks regularly. With a little training, she could end up being the most athletic and highest jumping middle in this class, even though she's not quite six feet tall.

You're reading this profile correctly—-Maddison, at the writing of this article, doesn't play club. If she does, this author knows nothing of it and, if I were to guess, neither do recruiters. Miss Judge is an absolute thumper, and was a difference-maker for Greenwood last fall. Also adept on the track (I believe she's a thrower), her lengthy frame, high attack touch and heavy ball she hammers show her athleticism, raw talent and overall aggression needed to be a difference maker at the next level. Maddison would be an absolute steal for any coach looking for athleticism, relentlessness and a motor that never quits.
