One of the physically strongest middles in this (or any) class, Rachel is part of a pair of middle-hitting sisters that earned state titles the past two seasons, and should compete for another up a class in 2A next fall. More of an M2 at this time, Rachel’s ability to take up space on the block, put balls away in any situation at any time and hit angles that other kids just can’t, The younger Bonde sister is more than ready for attention from larger schools for fall of ‘28 entrance.

Can’t start a “rock star” conversation without one of the Bonde sisters being mentioned. When needed most, Rachel had 25 kills on .511 hitting in the semi-state final for the #1-ranked Cougars. Her semi-state tournament finished with a full stat line; 36 kills, 5 aces, 4 blocks and 16 digs in the two matches combined. Not too many middles out there can say that they’ve done better.

Rachel took on all comers this season and turned her epic rookie campaign into a state championship. Rachel is a fluid and smart attacker that can put balls away quickly. She’s also more than capable of putting her team on her back, as she did against Center Grove last fall. Broad-shouldered with a quick arm, I haven’t put a club team for her yet, but I assume you can find her on Cougar, where she’s more than capable to play any of the front row positions and terminate at will.

The only state champ on this list, Rachel is a big and physical middle that can terminate from just about anywhere, as she did just that earlier this season at 4A powerhouse Center Grove. Quiet and unassuming, she terminates with pace and purpose, and plays way above her age and maturity level. Already earning all-state honors, Rachel would be an absolute steal for anyone who wants a hard-working, hybrid attacker that can play at an open level right now.
