The event brought together athletes from across the region looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors based on what they showed on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='568762' first='Nahla' last='Gababa'], a Class of 2028 outside hitter from El Dorado High School and [program_tooltip program_id='876208' first='SC' last='Rockstar'] Volleyball Club, and currently ranked No. 62 overall in the Prep Dig California State Rankings, brings the kind of physical tools and competitive mentality that jump out at you when you watch her play. At 5'10" with the ability to function at both pins, she gives college staffs genuine positional flexibility, which is a rare quality at this stage. What stands out most is her approach to the ball — she attacks with power and purpose, but she is not a one-trick hitter. She uses the block intelligently, tools angles, and makes decisions based on what the defense is giving her rather than just swinging hard and hoping. Her net presence on the defensive side is equally worth noting, as she is engaged and active rather than passive in those moments. Playing in open division club competition with [program_tooltip program_id='876208' first='SC' last='Rockstar'] has clearly sharpened her game and pushed her to perform in high-level environments. Nahla is a ranked prospect in one of the most competitive states in the country, and the programs that get in early on her will be glad they did. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

[player_tooltip player_id='783231' first='Samiyah' last='Brown'], a Class of 2029 outside hitter from Mater Dei High School and Forza1 North Volleyball Club, is the kind of athlete who stands out even in a gym full of talented players. Coming out of Mater Dei, which is one of the most decorated volleyball programs in Southern California, this tells you she has already been through a competitive environment that demands accountability and performance every day. At 5'8", she plays with an urgency and physicality that is advanced for her class, bringing energy to the left pin on every rotation. Her attacking mechanics show real promise like the fact that she has a quick arm, finishes through contact, and is not afraid to take swings in pressure moments. She competes hard in serve receive as well, staying connected to the system rather than checking out when the ball is not set to her. The combination of training at Forza1 North and competing at the high school level within a perennial CIF contender gives her a developmental foundation that should accelerate her recruiting timeline. Samiyah is a 2029 to watch as the exposure calendar ramps up for her class. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

[player_tooltip player_id='896057' first='Jeny' last='Solomua'], a Class of 2029 setter and right side hitter from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Washington and [program_tooltip program_id='504435' first='DaKine' last='Volleyball Club'], is one of the more intriguing two-way prospects in her class given the demands of the two positions she plays. The ability to both run an offense and threaten as an attacker from the right pin tells you there is a real volleyball IQ at work, because those roles require completely different reads and skill sets. As a setter, she shows a feel for tempo and the ability to manipulate the defense, distributing the ball with a confidence that allows her hitters to play freely. Her value on the right side comes from her athleticism and willingness to be aggressive and she does not shy away from the moment when the ball is set to her. Coming out of a Lakes program that reached the 2025 WIAA State Tournament is a meaningful credential, as that level of team success indicates she has been competing at a high standard in a quality 3A environment. There is still room to grow and define which role will be her primary home at the next level, but that dual-position value is exactly what makes her worth tracking now. Jeny is a versatile prospect whose upside is tied directly to how much she continues to develop in both roles. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.
