The early signs on the Class of 2029 are that it could go down as one of the all-time greatest in Michigan history when all is said and done.

Because of that, there's some talented players still looking to get more of the spotlight, including a number of outside and middle hitters.

Here's Part 2 of a 3-part look at some of the talented Watch List hitters in the Class of 2029 that can use a little more of that spotlight.

[player_tooltip player_id='888979' first='Mia' last='Keefer'] OH/MH Washtenaw Christian/L2

Keefer is a 6-footer that can play the middle or the outside. She shows good awareness on the floor to know where to place the ball and work around blockers. Her footwork is in a good place, which allows her to display a nice range of shot styles.

[player_tooltip player_id='780462' first='Jordyn' last='Kern'] OH/DS South Lyon/L2

Kern is an explosive hitter that can really pop off the floor. Her swing mechanics are sharp, which leads to some impressive attacks when she can put everything into it. Her athleticism applies to her defensive effort, which is among the best in the class for someone of her hitting skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='782541' first='Sophie' last='Kommer'] OH/DS Orchard Lake St. Mary's/High Performance

Kommer plays long for being listed at 5'9”. She's able to get a lot of length in her swing by waiting on the ball, which makes it hard to time her up on blocks. Kommer makes a lot of good choices with her swing speed and placement, and has good anticipation for the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning'] OH/DS BC Lakeview/High Performance

Manning has been very impressive in all phases of the game. She's one of the few players in any class in the state to approach 400 kills/400 digs in a season. She also was a big impact player from the service line. Manning just looks comfortable in any role and she shows no hesitation in going after a big play.

[player_tooltip player_id='878880' first='Mckynzie' last='Monroe'] MB/OH Brighton/L2

A versatile 6-footer, Monroe moves really well along the net and has a lot of arm speed to match. She's gotten better and better with her timing and is proving to be one of the more powerful hitters in the class. As the speed of the game continues to pick up, it should only add to her explosiveness.

[player_tooltip player_id='782649' first='Lauren' last='Nagel'] OH/MB Saline/L2

Nagel is a 5'10” hitter with a long wingspan to make her a big presence at the net. Nagel looks just as comfortable hitting from the middle as she does from either pin. She continues to add new facets to her game to help her become a complete player.

[player_tooltip player_id='848581' first='Milani' last='Parker'] MB/OH Walled Lake Western/Legacy

Parker has a lot of bounce off the floor, which helps her be one of the stronger blocking prospects in the class. She shows great energy throughout a match, not letting up or slowing down with her effort. That also leads to some great connections on offense, as Parker is eager to power through the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='885467' first='Adeline' last='Peterson'] OH/RS Pioneer/Legacy

A 6'2” outside prospect, Peterson definitely is an imposing prospect to see at the net. She's already got the height, but also mixes in quickness and agility to play well above the net on her attacks and blocking. She's putting in a lot of work to standout as a passer and defender, which will certainly make her a prospect to keep an eye on.
