Stay connected to PD as several teams will be profiled in preparation for this banger of a tournament.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Team Profile: [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] 16 Elite</h2>   Gauntlet Division: 16 Elite   USAV Region: Great Lakes   USAV GJNC Division Qualification: 16 Liberty   Key Athletes: Athletes ranked in the top 50 | Prep Dig Illinois    The #4 ranked athlete in the Illinois 2028 class, Bruns (*pictured) is a top setter among a group of solid setter prospects that have size and dynamic tools. At 6'0, Bruns is athletic in her pursuit of the ball, often off her feet and jump setting with her hands high as much as possible. She can run a good offense to get her middles involved with good success, which can create space and isolation for her pins when in system, especially when she slings it against the flow.     Neill is a 5'9 DS/L that can ignite her team's offense with her first-touch action. She does good work in the serve receive phase to stay balanced and in control of her movement as she can pass a large scope of the floor. Her angle production both midline and outside her frame creates good location and tempo for her setter. Defensively, she pursues the ball well by leading with her platform to extend her range while able to manipulate contact to dig effectively.     Ranked #18 overall in the 2028 Illinois class, Bruce has been evaluated with high praise for her tools as she is athletic with ability to use her 6'0 frame to her advantage. With a high elbow swing offensively, when she is on time and contacting the ball at the peak of her jump, she is very tough to slow down at the net. With six rotation tools, she can be terminal from both sides of the court while able to perform well as a primary passer. Defensively, her size helps create good range, including at the net where she displays good blocking mechanics to get up and over the net quickly while filling up big space.     Schubert is this team's best threat from the middle and she is a big one at that. Standing 6'3 with long reach, she can impose good force on opponents with her arm in how big she can block. She has a high contact point with ability to cut the ball towards the edges of the block and court as a result of her approach runway along with the space and timing she develops around her setter. Defensively, both on time and in emergency situations, she moves well laterally to be able to get up to stuff, slow the ball down, or at minimum, give her defense something to read around to create transition opportunities.     Watson has a good foundation to her game at 6'2 with ability to swing through varied attack points and tempos. Her length and reach are a big asset to her game as her development going forward will be some to keep an eye on. Becoming more explosive in her lift, using both arms and getting her elbow back and shoulders open more quickly, she will become more dynamic, get up higher, and create faster speed with her arm through more torque action. She is a nice pin complement to their other point scorers.     Lang, at 6'3, has a long wingspan and establishes herself well at the net in preparation to defend and in how she transitions to make herself available offensively. The #47 ranked prospect in Illinois, she can produce some good pace and range at the point of contact. Her movement left and right can close space when blocking, making her a threat to opposing hitters when trying to drive the ball her direction.
