Rankings Update: Five 2028 Arms Added

Badin graduated some of their key offense so Johnson should see more opportunities to transition these club gains to the high school cycle.     A leader defensively for Hoban last fall high school season, Ketcham averaged 2.1 b/m to tie for team high honors. The defensive duo will be back as Ketcham should also bring with her more offensively, building on the supportive contributions she made then to advance her range of tools to be more of an impact on that side of the ball. She moves well around her setter to create space and get up quickly to swing to beat the block, while also showing good footwork to be able to run routes off one foot to the right pin.     Martinez maximizes her physical tools well by working with intent when blocking and in her transition action to be an option for her setter. At 5'10, her ability to score is dependent on her spacing and timing that allows her to control her arm and swing aggressively through the space she finds at the net. Her ability to land and turn to find the ball helps her to make the right move in her footwork to be an option as much as possible as she can swing through a variety of attack points. Martinez is a cerebral middle in how she reads action well to check the pass and make adjustments around her setter with ability to make good plays even when timing isn't perfect.     Morse is a 5'9 pin hitter that was part of a young duo for Worthington that should return in the fall to see the bulk of offensive action following the graduation of two key pieces. She was third on the team last high school cycle at 1.8 k/s while also adding 5.1 d/m. As she may not bring the biggest pace or power on the ball, she does have a range of offense that can score or keep the defense off balance in he ability to attack the ball off speed. If she can gain quickness in her movement to off the net to build a bigger runway and manage her momentum, her timing will become more consistent for her to be able to swing for power more frequently.
