Talent on the Twos Vol 3

In case you missed it, this is the third edition of our new feature, Talent on the Twos. So often, the spotlight shines on a club's top teams, the groups competing in Open divisions, winning tournaments, and chasing USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship bids and region titles. But there's plenty of talent beyond the first team, and this series is all about highlighting some of the standout players making an impact on the twos.    Glosier is an intriguing young prospect with good movement patterns, a clean attacking window, and developing terminal potential. While she may eventually transition away from being a traditional middle at higher levels, the athletic tools and offensive instincts give her versatility upside as she continues to physically develop.     She's the type of right side who continues to show the ability to score both in system and when plays break down. Whether the set is clean or she's forced to adjust to a tougher ball, she finds ways to stay terminal and keep pressure on defenses. What also stands out is the growth as a blocker. The timing continues to improve, and you can see her becoming more comfortable reading attackers.     Caby is a middle who continues to show encouraging development physically and technically. She flashes the ability to be effective and there's growing confidence in the way she attacks the ball. What stands out most right now is her skills as a blocker. The footwork closing to pins looks clean, and you can see her becoming more comfortable reading hitters instead of simply reacting. As she continues to add strength and consistency, there's intriguing upside in her overall two-way impact at the net.     She's a setter who brings value beyond simply delivering the ball. In system, she does a good job distributing and keeping hitters in rhythm, but she also shows the ability to create offense when plays break down. Whether it's tracking down a tough second contact, delivering hittable balls out of system, or making smart decisions under pressure, she keeps her team in offensive flow.     Byrd is an imposing young attacker with the size, athleticism, and offensive upside that immediately catches your attention. She shows the ability to terminate from multiple spots along the net and adjusts well to different tempos and set locations, allowing her to stay effective both in and out of system. The arm swing is clean, the contact point is high, and there's already confidence in the way she attacks against blockers. As she continues to develop physically and refine her all-around game, the ceiling looks extremely high. And she plays up, so the sky's the limit.
