The USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship Showcase was outstanding. It was held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN and was also live streamed via BallerTV. There were tons of amazing athletes from all over the nation who were giving their all in both the positional drills and also the team scrimmages. We had each of our court coaches watch their team and select one player from each squad that embodied the core values of Avoli. There were some really athletic young ladies nominated and we could not be more proud of who was selected to win this prestigious award.

[player_tooltip player_id='519325' first='Bianca' last='Mohr'] does not fit neatly into one box and that is exactly what made her stand out on June 29th. Listed as both a setter and a right side hitter, the 5'9" prospect from Wimberley High School has the kind of dual skill set that lets a team move her around depending on what the moment calls for and she used that versatility to her advantage all night. Wimberley made the UIL 4A Division II state championship match in 2025 and the composure that comes from competing on that stage was visible in how Mohr handled herself in an event filled with players she had never shared a court with before.

What earned her the Avoli Award was not just her ability to run an offense or step in and attack from the right side. It was the way she communicated across every rotation, encouraged teammates after mistakes, and stayed locked in from the first whistle to the last point. Court coaches noted her IQ as a setter, the trust she built quickly with hitters she had just met, and the calm she brought to moments where other players her age tend to get rattled. Bianca proved to be a true extension of her coach. She competes with Austin Performance 16 Adidas, a club known for developing technically sound players, and that foundation showed in every facet of her game. Mohr is on the Prep Dig Texas official watch list for good reason and this performance not only adds weight to that designation, but prompts me to consider her for the ranking list. Please help us congratulate this awesome young lady for earning this prestigious prize.
