FAST Pre Nationals: 15s Division Flawless Liberos

A defensive specialist, she replaced one of the team's outside hitters on the back row and was very effective with her game, splitting the court with the team's libero and playing with authority in serve-receive. Russell played with great energy and determination on the back row and also positively impacted the team with her consistent communication. The libero was excellent in serve-receive for the team, covering a large area, showing great ball control and helping keep her team in system. A long libero, Folger used her length very well, getting several touches on the back row and keeping them in the air with her remarkable ball control. She was a force in the back row for them, appearing particularly well on defense, where she benefited from her excellent positioning and superior ball control to perform several digs and keep the ball off the floor. Salas also showed great determination to keep the ball off the floor, chasing shanked passes and digs well off the court, and was very reliable in serve-receive. One of the quickest players in the event, she made the most of it to perform at a very high level on the back row. Crawford used her excellent mobility to get to serves that landed a few feet in front of her and to touch on tips and deflected shots when playing defense. She did a great job of keeping her team in system, taking a prominent role in their serve-receive system. Alvarenga was very mindful in her first contact, being very precise with her deliveries when handling less aggressive serves and playing safer when targeted by tougher ones, responding with a higher pass in the center of the court.
