FAST Pre Nationals: 15s Division Impactful Right Sides

Teams from many different regions in the state of Texas competed this past weekend in the FAST Pre Nationals tournament, an event held in the Houston area that offered them an opportunity to fine-tune their games ahead of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship at the end of the month. On Saturday, we focused on the 15s Division and are now featuring the players who delivered strong performances.   These right side hitters were the best in the business in their position:    Griffin played for the AJV 14 Adidas team that ranked first in the division with six wins and a loss. Capable of playing on both pins, she thrived on the right, combining power and consistency. Griffin has a well-rounded offensive game that features serious firepower and vision, which shows with the difficult angles she's capable of hitting. She kept her level of play elevated at all times over the weekend and also contributed with her well-balanced blocking.     Harting and her HJV 14 Elite team finished second with a campaign of five wins and two losses. A very talented all-around player, she got to set and hit on the right for them and did very well in both roles. A lefty, Harting has a very strong offensive game, as she's excellent at finding ways to go around opposing blockers and keeps her vision and shot selection efficient even when hitting sets that come all the way from the back row. A player with excellent ball control, she made an impact when playing defense and also caused many problems for opponents with her serving.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/06/2J4A0132.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-995896" /></figure>    Black and her HJV 15 Premier side tied for fifth after earning three wins and two losses over the weekend. Although her game is still a little bit raw, she has an interesting combination of skills that indicate that she could reach a high level. Standing at 6'4", Black was solid offensively, taking full advantage of her high contact point and making good decisions. More mobile than most would expect for a player of her size, she also performed well with her blocking, doing a good job of reading opponents and remaining disciplined in her zone.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/06/2J4A0021_2f84ee.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-995858" /></figure>    Prihoda helped her TW Skyline 15 Royal team end up tied for fifth place with three wins and a loss. She was very consistent on the right and stood out for her ability to put the ball down in key moments. Prihoda made contact with the ball at a high point and had excellent shot selection, intelligently diversifying her offense. Her blocking was also a factor, as besides going up high at the net, she was very effective at pressing opponents and taking space away from them.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2026/06/2J4A0059.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-995873" /></figure>    Ellis and her Texas One - 15 Royal team ranked 20th in the tournament after getting two wins and three losses. A versatile offensive player, she got to put the ball down at a solid rate from both the right and the left. On the right, Ellis showed a good variety of shots and used them very well to keep her offense unpredictable and make opponents struggle to anticipate her moves.
