Harting s a versatile lefty that brings a lot to the table. She executes a variety of sets with a quick tempo. She consistently hit her targets throughout the event and has a nice vertical jump on her blocks. Harting executes back sets with no lean. She takes a number of quality swings from the opposite side with powerful angles. Harting said she’s trying to improve her leadership on the court and try to adjust to different hitters in the preseason.

Harting is a Class of 2030 setter who’s set to start her high school career with Memorial and plays for Houston Juniors at the club level. She distributes the ball when in system and does a good job of moving on the court and getting her body well under the ball before making contact in out-of-system plays, which allows her to use her full strength to get it to the pin. Harting is also a standout defender who uses her length very efficiently to get to shots and tips and has excellent reflexes and ball control. A lefty, she can also take on hitting duties at the net, showing remarkable firepower and precision.

Harting and her HJV 14 Elite team finished second with a campaign of five wins and two losses. A very talented all-around player, she got to set and hit on the right for them and did very well in both roles. A lefty, Harting has a very strong offensive game, as she’s excellent at finding ways to go around opposing blockers and keeps her vision and shot selection efficient even when hitting sets that come all the way from the back row. A player with excellent ball control, she made an impact when playing defense and also caused many problems for opponents with her serving.
