Wilder (pictured) sharpened her skills playing on the Jenkins boys team in the spring. Wilder has improved her range during that time. Wilder backs up on balls hit over her head and makes the simple passes. She can then move into good position to provide good backup at the net on blocked balls. Wilder also sends across tough float serves. A good next step for Wilder is improved ball control.

Blevins helped the Cougars form a solid defense in the fall. Blevins has good range. Blevins tries to keep her feet aimed toward the targets. Blevins has shown she can handle both well-struck and softly hit balls. Blevins adds in nice float serves to different parts of the court. Blevins had 189 digs to help Letcher County Central go 20-15, make it to the in-season 2A state tournament and drive to the region semifinals last fall.

Chrisman may be one of the most underrated passers in the state after recording 598 digs this past season, which ranked seventh in the state among reported totals for an average of 5.81 a set - good for 13th in the state last fall. Chrisman uses a good platform to dig up balls and does a good job calling for balls. She even puts her teammates in good position to terminate balls with good sets when the team is out of system.

Marshall may get overlooked some because the Crusaders do not have an easy time making it out of the 53rd District into the region tournament. However, Marshall does a good job facing her body toward targets and making crisp passes. Marshall's platform is solid. Her progress will be something to watch in the fall.
