Hitting Up Nationals: C/O 2027

No discredit to an impossible defensive play or a seamless set delivered to the opposite pin. But there's just something about a strong hit down the line or a sharp cross that falls just in front on the 10 foot line. These kind of plays look great and take a lot of work to master. So let's look at some hitters heading into Nationals that are ready to show what they've mastered this season. She plays with confidence and urgency, never hesitating to take on the responsibility of keeping her team in the rally. Whether she's attacking, defending, or chasing down a difficult ball, Gaby approaches every play with the same fearless mindset and determination to make an impact. She wants the ball in every situation and embraces the pressure that comes with being a go-to player. Offensively, she attacks with intent, swinging to score and putting constant pressure on opposing defenses. Her willingness to compete in all six rotations, combined with her high motor and aggressive approach, makes her a driving force for 1United 17N Blue and a player who elevates the energy of everyone around her.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kharley Smith, outside hitter for Drive Nation 17 Red, is a dynamic offensive weapon whose powerful swing and high volleyball IQ make her a constant threat on the court. She attacks with confidence and purpose, using more than just power to score points. Her understanding of the game is evident in the way she reads defenses, selects her shots, and finds ways to put pressure on opponents in every rotation. Kharley has developed a strong connection with her setter, creating a level of trust that allows the offense to operate seamlessly and efficiently. That chemistry translates into quick decision-making, well-timed attacks, and consistent production at the net. With her combination of physicality, intelligence, and offensive versatility, Kharley is a player defenses must account for at all times and a key contributor to Drive Nation 17 Red's success.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Brynn Stephens, our #2 ranked player this season. She is an outstanding 6 rotation hitter for TAV 17 Black Jon that consistently delivers for her team. Wherever she is on the court, she is a threat. Her swing is strong and well timed. She plays with a high IQ and awareness that keeps defenders on their toes and teammates encouraged. She is disciplined in transtions, always getting her feet to the ball and closing the ball to keep her defense protected. Brynn is no doubt a gem for her team. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Zailey High, a 6 rotation outside hitter for Skyline 17 Royal Sean, keeps the game going with each play she is apart of. No matter where she is on the court, she is going to swing big and swing hard. Defenders need to know where she is on the back row if they want to stay in the game. Her swing and aggressive play keep encourage her teammates to play with intensity and confidence. Zailey is a hustler on the court and doubt a true 6 rotation player.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2027 LS Outside Hitters</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Jordan Morrow, 6 rotation outside for Houston Skyline 17 Royal. She is strong and plays with a tenacity to win. Jordan is an all out player that is not going to quit until the whistle blows. Her ability to swing big and swing smart when a set comes her way is a key factor in her team's offense. On the other side of the ball Jordan is not afraid to play defense or pass a serve receive ball. Her ability to adapt to play and be what her team needs at any given moment make it clear that she is a big part of this team's success. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Arayla Scranton, pin hitter for Houston Juniors 17 Elite with a strong game. Her swing is powerful and paired with quick and efficient foot work. Watching her play, there is no doubt Arayla is in her element on the court. She wants the ball and is willing to do wat it takes to get it. Her energy is big and encouraging for her team every point, pushing her team to match pace and stay ahead. When she comes on the court there is a clear change to the game that adds to her teams momentum. That shift in energy and powerful swing are something serious to deal with heading into Nationals.</p>
