The junior outside hitter was Paetow’s most consistent player in the match and a key piece in their playing system. Scranton was the team’s go-to scorer and responded well, combining tremendous power and great intelligence to put the ball down. She was very successful in out-of-system plays, demonstrating great vision to find open spots and tool the block. Except for a period at the start of set four, Scranton’s passing was very reliable throughout the match.

An athletic pin hitter who can be used on the left or the right, Scranton has solid point-scoring skills and an interesting all-around game. She’s very productive offensively, getting off the floor well, making contact with the ball at a high point and displaying great resources to beat blockers and defenders. She typically plays on the left for her high school team Paetow, and has mostly been used on the right with Houston Juniors in the last club season, displaying good ability to adjust to different positions. Scranton is an excellent blocker, who not only takes up a lot of space up at the net but also reads opponents very well and has interesting ball control skills, passing at a good level.
