I want to say that this past weekend at the Elite M1 Scrimmage taking place in Minneapolis just made me even more excited that Nationals is among us. I was at the MN Select building on day 2; it was hot, and the girls were drenched in sweat. These middles were working it, not just the defense side of the game but the offense; the lateral movements were quick. The tempo was fast, and reading the blocks and adjusting was at an elite level of play. No doubt in my mind, these ladies are ready for USAV, AAU, or Phoenix!

Addison McCarthy changed the momentum when she stepped on the court. This past weekend, Addison was quick and closed out blocks with ease. She continued to take away angles for the other teams, and hitters were struggling to get around her. Her ability to read attackers, move efficiently along the net, and turn defensive plays is what college coaches will be watching for at Nationals. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Jaila Jernell had a great showing at the M1 scrimmage. Jaila had multiple solo blocks at critical points, sparking a run for her team. Jaila was aggressive on quick-tempo sets and consistently finished points in system. Jaila kept forcing hitters into uncomfortable shots simply through her positioning and timing. Jaila had a strong showing right before Nationals.~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Alexis Degner-Riley was on fire at the M1 scrimmage and wasted no time making an impact. When she was in the front, she was controlling the net. She found ways to stay involved on nearly every point. Emily's explosiveness meant her opponents had to work overtime to track and defend against her. She impressed me with how well she read the seams and then used that to her advantage to win the rally. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='813124' first='Emily' last='Fiedler'] was working overtime this weekend at the M1 Scrimmage. Emily repeatedly established herself at the block; she would transition quickly off the net and remained available as a quick-tempo offensive option. What impressed me the most was her ability to execute that sequence repeatedly without slowing down. Her endurance allowed her to maintain a high level of play throughout the match, impacting both sides of the ball and staying involved in nearly every rally. Nationals is almost here, and coaches will want to track her.~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Addison Hunt played up this weekend and quickly became a fan favorite. She never backed down from competing against elite talent and continued to swing aggressively, regardless of the size of the block in front of her. What stood out most was her confidence and volleyball IQ. Rather than forcing swings, she recognized when to attack and when to use a well-placed tip to exploit gaps in the defense. Her energy was contagious, and she brought a competitive edge to every rally. Defensively, Addison consistently found ways to get quality touches on the ball, even when arriving late to the block, helping extend rallies and create opportunities for her team. I am ready to see her play in Phoenix!~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
