Minnesota's Class of 2027 is shaping up to be one of the most talented groups in recent years, filled with athletes who have already made big commitments and those that will soon as they have made big names for themselves in both the high school and club circuits. Across the state, players from the Class of 2027 are not only playing and shining at a high level, but are also showcasing the kind of consistency and competitiveness that college coaches are looking to add to their programs. With several prospects continuing to grow their game and gain attention in the process, this group won't stay under the radar for long. College coaches would start to take a closer look now as these players are soon to be the next wave of commits to go off the market in Minnesota.

Singer has competed at the highest levels throughout her club career and has received excellent training along the way. It feels like only a matter of time before she makes a commitment to a high level program as she is exactly the kind of player coaches look for today. One of the hardest players to find is a quick footed middle with a fast, explosive arm swing...and Singer is just that.

Mitteness is another highly effective middle in the Class of 2027. She brings a lot of versatility to the position, running the quick and the slide comfortably while doing a good job of running in tandem with the setter. She transitions well and adjusts when the ball is off the net, still finding ways to stay available as an attacking option. While Mitteness hasn't announced her commitment yet, we know its just a matter of time.

Schuler is another defensive specialist available to college coaches, currently playing at the highest level with the Minnesota Select 17-1s. Her versatility makes her a strong candidate for programs looking for a strong defensive player as she is comfortable playing all three backrow positions. She brings consistency and reliability wherever she's put on the court and knows how to gel with her team in each of those positions. With her ability to read the game and adapt quickly, she should be firmly on college coaches radar.

Middlestadt is a libero who gets a ton of reps year round and brings a steady, confident presence to the backcourt. She's consistent in serve receive, passes the ball well to target, and does a nice job communicating. She's also very comfortable in intense situations, having reached the state tournament the past two seasons and competing on a strong club schedule with M1. Liberos typically get recruited later in the process, but based on her consistency and experience, it feels like she's the type of player who will be picked up sooner rather than later.

Johnston is a powerful pin. She's got a heavy, explosive swing and does a great job of reading the block. She can find the seam, go around it, or use it to her advantage by powering kills off of it. She is also effective out of the back row where she has no problem taking big swings and generating points for her team. Johnston knows how to win on both the high school and club courts, collecting accolades consisting of last years all state award and a 2026 President Cup Championship. With the resume she has built up for the past few years, a commitment is likely coming soon.

Lefty setters are always fun to watch, and Sailor is definitely fun to see in action. She's really started to come into her own over the past couple seasons, and we've seen steady growth from her both with MN Select and with her high school team. She's done a great job running the offense and being a leader on the court, especially as Benilde-St. Margaret's have made deep playoff runs with her at the helm. She's one of those players college coaches should really take a closer look at, because she feels like a big steal.
