MN 7A Spotlight: Players to Know This Fall

While school sizes may be small, the level of heart and competitiveness is anything but small. These programs consistently bring grit, energy, and toughness to the court. She is a hard worker who brings energy to the court and never gives up on a play. In many ways, she serves as the anchor for her team with her consistency and ability to contribute on each and every play. Rosenau is dependable from the service line and in serve receive, and she is not afraid to take big swings from both the front and back row. What really separates her, though, is her court vision. She sees the defense well and has a great feel and can place off speed shots, putting them in open areas to generate kills. She primarily plays middle back during the high school season and shifts to left back with MN North, showing the versatility in the back court. One of her biggest strengths is her ability to read hitters and anticipate where attacks are headed. This allows her to get herself in the proper place to make plays. She tracks the ball well, keeps rallies alive with quality digs, and provides a steady presence in serve receive. She is a fun player to watch because she impacts the match in so many ways. She can set, pass, attack out of the back row, and play stellar defense. No matter the lineup, you want her involved in the back row, whether as a setter or defensive specialist. I would even like to see her at libero, as I think she has the instincts and ball control to excel there. With 793 assists, 223 digs, and 48 kills last year, Kiminski already knows what it takes to run an offense and lead as a floor general. While things may look a little different with big sister Kenzie gone, she has the skills and experience to keep the offense flowing and put her attackers in positions to succeed. Kiminski is a steady presence on the court and will lead this team to another successful season at Floodwood.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
