New Kids On The Block: Freshman Entering Summer Training

Summer is starting, and that means a new wave of first-year students is entering the gym for high school summer training. This can be a rocky time. Going into the unknown, stepping into a new role for the upcoming year. This group of players is ready for that challenge this summer. We have already been tracking them on our watchlist and getting them in their gym to train; we are ready to see these new kids step into the spotlight this school season.    [player_tooltip player_id='893306' first='Makinley' last='Logan'] is a 5'10" middle that is already showing confidence at the net. She moves quickly laterally, gets off the net quickly, and calls her plays. Makinley isn't afraid to go against tough blocks and finds a way around to get the point. With strong training, we will be talking about her a lot in the upcoming years. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas     I have been catching a few games this club season of [player_tooltip player_id='943482' first='Taylor' last='Johnson'], and I am already impressed with her play. As a 5'9" middle, she is bringing a strong IQ and is very aggressive at the net. She is already working routes that upper-level students are still perfecting. As she steps into high school training, she will be pushing players to play faster. Taylor is going to have a strong 4 years. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas     [player_tooltip player_id='944120' first='Britton' last='Molitor'] is a player I am excited to see this school year. Entering as a 5'10" freshman. Britton already has the blocking mechanics down. She is making sure she is ready and available in transition. Britton doesn't back down; she stays engaged and is powerful at the net. Britton is a player to watch! ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas     [player_tooltip player_id='943090' first='Ronni' last='Peterson'] will be entering her freshman season this summer, and as a 5'7" middle blocker who is already used to playing competitive club at AVB, she is going to enhance her team this fall. Ronni has been excelling in her lateral moves at the net. I am impressed with how well Ronni tools off the block and creates openings for her teammates. The future is looking good for Ronnie as she continues to get in the gym and train.~Theresa@prepdigdakotas     [player_tooltip player_id='941968' first='Elouise' last='Perren'] is coming in as a freshman this summer and is already doing things right. At 5'11", Elouise is already able to run different routes. She is seeing the floor, tracking movements across the net, and closing the seam.
