<p>Top tier talent set the stage for the first few hours of Prep Dig's Gauntlet. Between perfect sets, big swings, excellent passes, and ace serves there was plenty to see. Here is the first round of athletes that caught our attention. </p>

<p>Farley proved to be a dynamic presence on the right side throughout the first morning of Prep Dig's Gauntlet, consistently creating problems for opposing blockers with her aggressive offensive approach. The 414 17 Elite standout showcased a quick arm and the ability to terminate from multiple attack angles, making her a reliable scoring option in key moments. Defensively, she contributed with disciplined blocking and showed a strong understanding of court positioning. Farley competed with confidence and brought a physical edge to every match she played. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Adeline Grider | OH | Balance 17 White</strong></h4>

<p>Grider delivered a well-rounded performance for Balance 17 White, displaying the versatility college coaches look for in an outside hitter. She generated offense consistently from the pins while also handling a significant serve receive workload. Her ability to stay composed during extended rallies allowed her team to remain in system and maintain offensive rhythm. Grider attacked with purpose, mixing power and placement effectively to keep defenders guessing. </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Kaitlin Arney | MB | Dunes 17 Black</strong></h4>

<p>Arney was a force in the middle for Dunes 17 Black, making her presence felt on both sides of the net. Offensively, she was efficient and difficult to stop, using her arm span and timing to score on quick-tempo attacks. She consistently challenged opposing hitters with her blocking ability and closed seams effectively at the net. Arney's movement along the front row allowed her to stay involved in every rally, and she showed excellent chemistry with her setter. Her combination of physicality and discipline made her one of the stronger middle blocker performances of the morning.</p>

<p>Cowman put together an impressive opening match for Iowa Impact 172 Elite, showcasing a powerful and complete outside hitter game. She scored from both the front and back row while providing steady serve receive and defensive contributions. Her ability to generate offense in out-of-system situations stood out, often turning difficult plays into points. Cowman competed with a high motor and maintained her effectiveness throughout long matches. She displayed the athleticism and versatility that continue to make her a player to watch in the 17s division. Watching her was fun, to say the least.</p>

<p>Taylor orchestrated the offense for Lions Starved Rock 17 National with confidence and precision throughout the morning matches. She distributed the ball effectively to all attacking options and demonstrated excellent decision-making under pressure. Her ability to vary tempo kept opposing blockers off balance and allowed her hitters to find success from every position on the court. Beyond her setting responsibilities, Taylor contributed defensively and showed strong leadership during critical stretches of play. It was nice to see a setter step up and dominate defensively as well.</p>

<p>Myers is definitely a strong offensive presence to the right side for Madtown 173. She attacked aggressively and consistently found ways to score against quality competition. Her physicality at the net translated into both offensive production and valuable blocking touches. Myers showed confidence in transition and remained engaged throughout every rally, helping her team maintain momentum. Her competitive mindset and ability to impact multiple phases of the game made her a standout performer over the weekend.</p>

<p>Floerke anchored the backcourt for Elevate Pandamonium with a steady and dependable defensive performance. Makenna excelled in serve receive, helping her team stay in system and allowing the offense to operate efficiently. She covered the court defensively and consistently kept rallies alive with controlled digs and smart positioning. Floerke's communication and leadership were evident throughout the weekend as she organized the backcourt and provided stability during high-pressure situations. Any setter would want the ball coming from Makenna Floerke.</p>
