Texas Liberos Worth Watching at the National Championship

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The biggest moment of the season has arrived for club volleyball teams from all over the country, as, starting on Thursday, the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship will take place in Indiana.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The tournament that will crown the national champions in the U14, U15, U16 and U17 age groups will reunite as many as 2,119 teams at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium until July 3, with 24 divisions in competition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dozens of Texas teams will make the trip up North, and the absolute best players from the Lone Star State will be in action over the next few days trying to help their teams cap their seasons off with national titles. She plays mostly as a defensive specialist for them (but can also be used as an outside hitter) and adds a lot to their back row efforts with her reliable game. Sebert has a prominent role in the team's passing system, moving her feet quickly to get to the ball and shaping her body perfectly to make the first contact. She can play defense in the middle or the left, and in either spot stands out for her ability to read opponents and make last-second adjustments, and for her ball control. She uses her length to make a big impact when playing defense on the left, stretching her body to get to the ball and demonstrating great technique to control hard-driven swings. Ertischek is very disciplined in serve-receive, taking quick steps to get to the ball and does a great job of always making contact with the ball with her arms fully stretched. She plays the game with impressive calm and confidence, bringing stability and consistency to her team in the back row. Pipes is very accurate when making contact with the ball and shows an interesting ability to shape her body in different ways to create the right angle to get it to her setter. The libero is a huge asset for them, playing with impressive energy, performing at a very high level on the back row and keeping her team in system at all times. Huynh's passing is excellent, and even when covering large areas of the court, she manages to remain consistent with her deliveries. She stands at 5'11" and uses her unusual length for a libero to her advantage, but moves as a much smaller player on the back row, getting the best of both worlds. Ebert's TAV team has a potent and dynamic offense, and she's a big part of it by using her outstanding ball control to keep them in system.
