Siene Ebert, Libero for TAV controls the back court for her team. In a game full of fast tempos, coaches want defenders that not only keep up, but thrive in the fast play, and Siena does that. Her ability to stay composed and read the ball consistently throughout a game is impressive. She passes with precision and intent, leaving her team’s confidence high in finishing a play. Her energy and hustle follow her to the serving line where she continues her leadership from behind the net.

There are very many reasons why we have Miss Ebert ranked as the second best libero in her grad class. She brings a calm, controlled presence to the back row in the class of 2027, consistently impacting play through discipline and reliability in regards to ball control. At 5’10”, she offers uncommon size for the libero role, allowing her to cover more court and take away angles with ease. Ebert’s serve-receive is a strength, where her balanced platform and clean footwork lead to consistent first contact against aggressive servers. She reads the game well defensively, positioning herself early and making plays look routine through strong anticipation. Her length helps her extend for balls outside her frame, turning potential points into transition opportunities. Ebert communicates effectively and brings a steady leadership presence to the floor. She continues to grow more assertive in demanding responsibility in key rotations. There is no doubt in my mind that Siena will be a complete game changer for Princeton when she steps on their campus in a few years.

Ebert is the libero of the TAV 16 Black Paul team that will appear in the 16 Open division. She joined TAV this season, coming from Madfrog , and immediately made their defensive system stronger with her excellent play. Ebert is a tall libero, who covers more area than most players in the position and gets to ball not many others would, and she’s also extremely effective with her actions. Ebert is clearly a very technical player but two things that positively impact her plays on the backcourt are her calm and confidence on the ball. She also does a great job of setting in transition and is very disciplined to keep her spot when covering her hitters.

Ebert is the anchor in the defensive system of her team Madfrog 15’s N Green. A very technical player, she gets the job done with tremendous efficiency on the backcourt, keeping her team in system and generating transition plays for them. She’s tall, but also extremely agile and that allows her to get to many balls on defense without having to dive or fully stretch. Ebert is very reliable with her passing and does many of the things required from a libero, such as covering her hitters and setting in transition, extremely well.

Ebert led her team Madfrog 15’s N Green to a campaign of two wins and three losses, which placed them in fifth in the event. A tall libero, she covered a lot of ground defensively and stood out with her ability to control hard-driven swings, generating transition opportunities for her side. Ebert also took a huge responsibility in serve-receive and thrived at it, using her great technique to deliver precise passes to her setter. The libero also stepped up to set in transition plays when the setter got the first contact and did a good job with it.

Another player we got to see first-hand a couple of months ago during our Prep Dig Freshman Showcase, Ebert has been as solid as it gets for Hockaday on the backcourt in her first months of high school volleyball. Very long and technical, she’s making her presence felt on the defensive side of the game with the Daisies and will enter district play in great form. Ebert currently leads the team in passes (347) and ranks second in digs (259) and aces (24).

Ebert was one of the standouts among the liberos for her very efficient play. She has excellent ball control and very rarely made a defensive action that ended as a mistake or was even remotely inaccurate. A very tall libero, she was also impressive with her excellent defensive range, covering a huge area on the court and helping out her teammates when needed. Another thing that increased Ebert’s efficiency was her attention to detail as she was always right where she was supposed to be in every play, which helped her make several saves when covering her hitters.
