Prep Dig continued its partnership with USA Volleyball at the Junior National Club Championships Showcase, held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on June 4th. The event brought together athletes from across the nation looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors based on what they showed on the court.

Miss Paige is a class of 2030 left side and right side from Tampa Preparatory School and Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy. Although she is one of the youngest players in this showcase series, she may be one of the most physically compelling prospects to earn Top Performer recognition at this event. Standing at 5'9" with years of physical development ahead of her, the tools she already brings to both pins are advanced enough that age becomes irrelevant when you are actually watching her compete. This young lady attacks with a confidence and physicality that simply does not match the class year on her profile. She has a naturally strong frame and uses her explosive fast-twitch muscles to move around the court and off of the ground super fast. I loved meeting her and her dad during the event and will definitely be speaking with our lead scout in Florida about her play. [player_tooltip player_id='948023' first='Ashton' last='Paige'] is someone who we will all be watching closely to see how she progresses over the next four years. I strongly recommend you all write her name down also. Please help me congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='984886' first='Awesome' last='Reed']'s play definitely lives up to her first name! She is a class of 2029 setter from Cypress Falls High School in north Houston and also plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='431337' first='Texas' last='Tornados'] 15 Adidas squad. Miss Reed runs the offense with a decisiveness and court presence that stands out at the 15-year-old level, processing the game quickly and getting the ball to her hitters with a consistency that gives the offense a clean rhythm. I noticed that she moves very efficiently to the ball and delivers from soft hands that stay clean even when the pass takes her off the net. There is no doubt that she is getting some great technical coaching and since I know the club director and coaching staff very well, I can vouch for them. Her court coach mentioned that she was both a vocal leader who talked her hitters well to direct the traffic and also led by example on the court. She had exceptional defense out of the right back zone and that will help any team she is on have more chances to run their offense. If she continues this play, we will be adding her to our official Watch List soon. Please help me congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

Brooklyn is a class of 2030 libero and defensive specialist from Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School in Chardon, Ohio. Miss Hansen also plays at Rock City Volleyball club. She is the kind of young back row player who catches your eye not because of size or flash but because of the intelligence and composure she plays with during every moment of a match. At her young age, she is already moving with the low, quick efficient footwork and posture that defines elite libero play. The reading ability she displays at this age is what truly stood out to a few of our coaches and scouts. Her platform mechanics are clean and she handles pace without panicking. Her court coach mentioned that she was delivering passes that keep her offense organized rather than scrambling. I noticed that she hardly ever had her heels on the floor and that will keep her very quick to change direction for deflections and off-speed shots. Please help me congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase.
