The USA Volleyball Junior National Championships brings together the best club programs in the country under one roof in Indianapolis, and Prep Dig will be on the floor to scout the field from the very start. As part of the pre-tournament showcase on June 24th at the Indiana Convention Center, several Prep Dig state-ranked prospects and those who are currently unranked but also very intriguing prospects to be from across the country will step onto the court before the main event begins. College coaches looking to get an early read on the next wave of talent would do well to circle the following names before the tournament tipping schedule fills their notebooks. Let's take a look at a few of the names who will be in attendance.

Standing at 5'11" and still growing as a 2030, Miss Matlock is the kind of player that shows up on a college coach's radar early and never leaves it. Casady competes in the Southwest Preparatory Conference, one of the more competitive independent school leagues in the region, giving Matlock consistent exposure against quality competition. As a middle blocker, her frame already suggests the length and net presence that programs covet, and the showcase format will let evaluators see how she transitions through the system with athletes she has not played alongside before. Watch her first-step reaction off the net and her closing speed at the block; those two elements at this age are the clearest indicators of a player who understands the position rather than just occupying it. We are excited to have her in the showcase.

Already a highly touted setter in the class of 2030 and standing at 5'11” is a genuinely rare profile, and Brinley Temperton checks that box out of Northside Christian in St. Petersburg. Height at the setter position adds a dimension most offenses cannot neutralize, giving the setter the ability to disguise, release at a higher point, and contribute as a legitimate blocking presence on the right side. Temperton's age relative to the scale of her frame means college coaches are essentially watching a prospect who still has several years of physical and technical development in front of her. The showcase will offer a look at how she manages tempo and reads the court when the level of play around her elevates. Our scouts will be watching closely how she performs against the top talent and you should as well.

Oregon has produced setting talent that translates well at the college level, and Amelia Brown out of Sandy is the kind of prospect who fits that tradition. At 5'8" with three full seasons of development ahead, Brown will be one of the setters on the floor in Indianapolis drawing early attention from staffs. The showcase format is an honest test for any setter because it removes the comfort of practiced combinations and forces genuine decision-making in real time. Watch how she calibrates her tempo choices when the system around her is unfamiliar; that read-and-respond quality separates setters who are scheme-dependent from those who are genuinely playmakers. Write this name down now as she will be showing her skills all night long.
