Michael DeLeon | Prep Dig Scout
Standing at 5’11” and still growing as a 2030, Miss Matlock is the kind of player that shows up on a college coach’s radar early and never leaves it. Casady competes in the Southwest Preparatory Conference, one of the more competitive independent school leagues in the region, giving Matlock consistent exposure against quality competition. As a middle blocker, her frame already suggests the length and net presence that programs covet, and the showcase format will let evaluators see how she transitions through the system with athletes she has not played alongside before. Watch her first-step reaction off the net and her closing speed at the block; those two elements at this age are the clearest indicators of a player who understands the position rather than just occupying it. We are excited to have her in the showcase.

Miss Matlock is currently an unranked prospect in the 2030 Class according to our Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. I will be discussing her name with the Oklahoma Prep Dig staff based on what we saw in person against the top competition. She plays for Casady High School and also plays for the Oklahoma Charge volleyball club. When I tell you that I enjoyed meeting this young lady because of both her skill set and her amazing personality, it still makes me smile thinking about our interaction. I got such a great vibe from her and how she loves the game. She is what I call a “gym rat”, which means that she loves to train and will always want to be in the gym with a ball playing this wonderful game. As I talked to her and her mom at the end of the showcase, I was amazed that they attended our Nevada showcase, this Dallas showcase, and she is registered for our Oklahoma showcase that is scheduled also. She is definitely on pace to get her name out there for the future of her recruiting. This young lady has a big swing on her and will unleash that power anytime she gets an opportunity to. I love how unafraid she is to kill the ball. Blessed with awesome upper body strength and the desire to get better, I can only imagine what damage she is going to do to opposing defenses in the future. We loved getting to know her and will be watching her progress for the foreseeable future and you should also. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

(PD Exposure Tour shirt #60) sounded off with a resounding “pop” during her warm-up hits, and it caught my attention right away. Descending from the state of Oklahoma, Jordan had no issue in taking advantage of the opportunity, and dominating her moments at the Exposure Tour. This 2030 baller did not hold back, and flexed very efficient transitions, sound approaches, hard contact, and aggressive defense. The potential and promise Jordan showcases was exciting to witness, and we’re excited to follow her through the upcoming club season.

named MVP at PrepDig’s Exposure Tour in Nevada, CA.

Jordan earned the MVP honor with a performance that set the tone from the first ball. She flew in from Oklahoma to compete and made every rep count. Jordan was consistently reliable on blocks, active and fearless diving on defense, and she lived at the net as the queen of kills. When her team needed stability in transition she stepped in to set playable balls that extended rallies and created scoring opportunities. Jordan competes with urgency and grit, and her ability to impact the game in multiple positions showed why she stood out among the field.
