Day One Bluegrass Games Solid Playmakers

The players took the courts all over Lexington trying to show their coaching staffs they are ready to go out there and make plays. Yates is playing six rotations and making plays however she can, including working on her ball placement above power now so she does not re-injure her swinging arm. Yates tools blocks and sends off shots to various spots on the court. Conley is a lefty with great touches. Conley influences the net with her size, blocking and timely hitting. Conley is tough when setters put balls in her power zone. The lefty makes nice touches in the back row. She takes solid swings and has good form on her swing blocking. Holy Cross head coach Danielle Wiegandt said Person needs to be adaptable and learn things on varsity quick. She's long and could develop more explosiveness. She rips seams with precision and executes a number of different ways to terminate balls. Henderson took a number of quality jump serves to keep opponents out of system. VanGuilder takes hard crosses, crosses and cut shots on go routes using a solid vertical jump. VanGuilder mixed in sound tips to the middle to keep defenses guessing.
